An excerpt from our 2024 Lincoln Woods summer concert. We love a good audience participation number! Feel free to skip ahead to 1:19 for the beginning of the fun part 😆 Slightly awkward in some places--we really needed a 5th person to lead the audience in the singing/whistling sections!--but still a lot of fun!

Stardust // Forbidden Brass ensemble

A while ago, Keith recorded and mixed us playing this Robert Hughes arrangement of Stardust, and Josy took the opportunity to experiment with some animation. Sit back and relax to our dulcet tones 😎🎆 (Tom's on lead, Josy's on bass 'bone, Keith and Dan are holding down the middle. Watch on HD if you can!)

This is probably our favorite audio we've recorded so far. (!) The video... was a learning experience, and we'll definitely do things differently next time. In 2021, when it was unsafe to gather inside, our trombone/tuba quartet started meeting at a Forbidden Drive pavilion in Philadelphia's Wissahickon Valley Park (which is why we're Forbidden Brass!). We're lucky to have a sound guy on our team! The four of us met in Keith's recording studio to see what we could come up with, and Keith worked his magic. Dan's on lead, Keith's on tuba, and Tom and Josy are holding down the middle parts on this Paul Nagle arrangement. Enjoy!

Dreaming of Georgia... Don't you wish you could come to our rehearsals?? We recorded a warmup piece in in one take, mostly to test a new mic setup some AI-assisted animation techniques. Keith edited the audio, Josy did the video, Dan and Tom played really well. (We're playing Ingo Luis's arrangement of "Georgia on My Mind" for trombone quartet, originally composed by Hoagy Carmichael)
