How much is your truck worth? That’s a loaded question! It’s worth what someone would pay for it any particular time! Nice ride!
Spot on. We can only guess, what we can get out of a vehicle. Thank you very much, for your comment!!!
Nice I am doing a 69 GMC right now had to change alot of stuff and if you look at it you would never know
Not all progress is obvious to everyone. Commonly, people don't appreciate the amount of time it takes to build an old vehicle. Thanks for watching and the comment!!!👍
Lots of technique & tools to get it done and done right… right enough for older, used and abused vehicles. Good work.
The camera quality is definitely better with this camera. Truck is coming along nicely!! Oh and yes... Wear them gloves cause we don't want to cut a tendon 🫣
That is turning out great! That clock is badass too!
Wait till you see next weeks video. 😂 And thanks, it is starting to move in the right direction.
I know very little if any about body work but, if the rear cab corner is original and the door fit that corner, why not cut the replacement rocker and make it fit the cab corner instead of cutting the cab to corner fit the rocker? By watching all of the C10 repair videos out there, it's clear that the replacement panels are not very good. The door bottoms, do they have a brand sticker on the inside? That might help the rest of us make a decision on which brand to look for. Hope you and yours are doing well Darren. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! See you next week.
@@eddieraines2647 The cab corner has been replaced, it was fairly well done. My decision was made by how well the other panels fit. I hope I made the right choice, we will soon see. Sorry, the door bottoms are so old, no distinguishable markings are left. But I'll be ordering one for the passengers side, soon.🤞 Merry Christmas and Happy NewYear to you, and all. Thanks for your comment Eddie!!!👍
That truck is night and day from one side to the other. Nice clock :)
You are so right!!!! Thanks for watching 👍
What test fuel tank, where'd you buy it and how many gallons is it? Thank you for the video
@@boostnhoe I use a fuel tank from LMC it's a 21 gallon. They also make a 17 gallon. I will revisit the fuel tank in a later video. I might suggest the 17 gallon, for better fit. Thank you for your comment!!!
Wow a right hand drive C10😊
Lol, sorry I hit the mirror button on that video. Thanks for watching!!!👍
Spanish gooooold!
I spotted it within the first few seconds today. Looking good Darren. That passengers side is going to be FUN!! That's a little sarcasm.....lol.
Hi Eddie, my most loyal commenter. Thanks, I am currently working on it. And yes, it is actually fun.... so far. Lastly, I do enjoy me some, sarcasm and a little "snarky" from time to time. Thanks always for your comments!!!!
Oh, I'm going to make next weeks hunt a little more difficult. 👍
You could’ve made that rotted out Olds 88 convertible new(ish) again. :). All the rust, weld, gussets, reweld & bondo.
1988 Oldsmobile convertible. Those were nice old cars.👍
Once is good, but twice is definitely more gooder..... but don't do three times because then you're just showing off 😂😂😂
🤣😂 too funny!!! Thanks for watching!!!!
Spanish gold road ready again!
This is a how not to do repairs
@@DazCoons thanks for your comment. I'm glad you were able to take some away from the video.
You would be better as a butcher
@@DazCoons you ain't seen nothing yet. Thanks for the comment.
Mate -- Cut down on the drinking before doing a video -- A drunk idiot wont get you far -- You would make a great clown
I tried being a butcher and I'm not very good at it. Yes, I'm a bit of a clown... but not so good at that either. Thanks for your comment. 👍
Thanks for the tips. I learned something today.
Aw man, Thanks🙏 I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching.
Fix it right
That's the only way.👍
I’ve used a painless harness on the bronco too, highly recommend them, even though they are speendy! Worth it!
I’ve wanted to try those efi throttle bodies. Just have yet to bring myself to pay for it😂 I hear y’a on the transmission dipstick! My early bronco does the same thing! Gonna just buy a new pan, one day…….. haha. Until then.. I’ll spend more on oil.
Thanks for stopping over here. Yes the efi is nice, but a carb is way easier. Take care.
Felicidades dame una que envidia😂
Thank you very much!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 👍I restored my dad's 67 back in the 90's when i was 15. He couldn't figure out why all his (wood)drill bits were dull.😂
That's awsome!!! Kids that figure out how to fix things, on their own, grow up to be critical thinkers. You made great memories. Thanks for sharing!!!
Spotted! Hope you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving Darren! Just and FYI, I gave the JB Weld as a metal bonding agent on my truck. I've got my fingers crossed it'll hold in the long run.
Happy Thanksgiving Eddie. I'm confident, the JB will not let you down. I've used it on hydraulic lines, temporary and it held great.
Enjoying your video. First time watching. This will help me on my 71
Welcome!!! I'm glad to help, if I can. We can always learn things together. Thanks for saying hi.
Spotted it! Good stuff as usual Darren. Since it was brought up, what brand panel bond are you using? I've got a 2014 Silverado that has a loose support for the bottom of the rear fender has come loose. I see JB Weld has a panel bond. Ever use that?
@@eddieraines2647 JB is good stuff!!! I perfer 3M. Most times, small batch use is easiest with JB. They have catered to this by making easy mix, single packs available at local stores. Best tip; don't clamp with excessive force. As always, thanks for your comments!!!!👍
The tweezers!! Lol... Ya just never know what you're gonna find😜
Stay tuned, there's more!!!!
Sir where do you get the panel bond
@@cliffolivent7901 panel bond can be found at automotive suppliers that sell bulk paint. Or on line, like Amazon. Thanks for watching!!

Beautiful truck and congratulations on 100 episodes! Just subscribed. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching AND your subscription!!!! I try to make it fun and show the details others don't. I look forward to seeing you in the future.
Thanks for video I am trying to work on my 72c10 I am learning alot thks
The 1972 is probably the best year truck, with all the GM improvements. If you ever have a question feel free to ask, I'll try my best to answer and show a process. Thanks SO MUCH, for your comment!!!
Maybe sometime later down the road, how hard is it going to be to separate panels that are bonded together? Just curious. Spotted the locktite.
Well, good question. Pretty much not going to happen. You could use a lot of heat, but that's not so good. Most of the time, you have to cut back more. Its permanent, and why I make every effort to block rust. A collision repair would require larger panel replacement. Thanks Eddie.!!!
The patience with doors, whew!
Which hoods do you like best 67 + 68, or 69 - 72?
@@Vern.Anderson I perfer the 67, the 68 has the odd trim at the leading edge. But, they now make a 67 sloped hood that fits the later year trucks (lines up with fenders). I think I like that look the best. Thank you very much for your comment!!!
Spotted the orange, thanks to the hint.......I enjoy watching the metal work, uh ohs and successes. Keep it coming!
@@eddieraines2647 Thanks for your comments, Eddie!!!
Dash looks great! Thinkin I will just buy the right outer rockers to make it easier 😉
I appreciate the offer. But not necessary thank you very much
Inner, outer. Outer, inner. Nut. Never as easy as you make it look. Wow.
“Body hammer”. We all are looking for one. 😁
Sorry you lost Rusty 🐈⬛. 🥺
@@karmennash7479 I'm not much of a cat guy, but I did like my cat "rusty". I miss him.
Nice stove shop! You paint planes too?
Can't say I've ever panted a plane, but I'm up for a try.😁 Thank you for watching and your comment!!!
I'm finally caught up on videos. I have now watched them all since finding your channel! great series! nice work! I picked up a lot of info and will continue to watch and follow for more.
Thank you so very much. I'm always working on something and will continue to attempt to improve the channel.
Lots of little hand movements to finesse that surface. Looks way easier than it is! Wow.
Great tips Darren. I know when it comes around and I do finally get one, these will come in handy. I like the chisel tip. I like the working of the dent, the sanding of the "hail" dents. One other thing, I haven't been seeing the lcotite the last few videos. Still doing that? One more question since you mentioned your shop lights...what are you using? I am wiring my new shop and getting ready to purchase lighting. I like how well lit your garage is. Keep up the great work.
I'll show my shop lights in a future video, they are screw in LEDs. Yes, still doing the loctite. I did miss a few videos, sorry it is kinda fun. There is one in this video, orange. Thanks so very much for all your comments and questions!!!
@@eddieraines2647 I'm going to put a hint, time in the description, from now on. It will be in the screenshot at that time. I have had others ask for hints. Hope that makes it a little more fun. 👍
👍🏼
Lmfao! Best content yet🤗. Just call you Houdini cause how in the world did that rear window not break 🫣. Made my week... 😜
@@schaferspeedshop I think I rewatched it 5 times. It went all the way to the floor.
Excellent salvage job.
Holy cow! Wow.
Nice work Darren. Amazing work with the glass. Sometimes, it's great to be lucky and the glass survives!!
Lol, I'm not sure how many people will watch long enough to see that part but, I knew I could count on you!!!! Thanks again.
Cool car
Yes, they kinda are. A LOT of stuff that can go wrong too. Great to see you here again.👍
@Wrenchen-with-Darren "alot of stuff can go wrong" I would argue that today's gas cars are more complex than this volt. More sensors, more EPA crap, more stuff to go wrong. Gimme a square body any day.
Happy birthday. Work, work, work. 😁
Lol, thank you very much I just can't help myself
