Maybe it's Timbo's masterful beat doing a lot of the work, but even the lyrics and Utada's performance kinda give off a "dorky asian girl tries to awkwardly rizz you up" vibe and let's be real: it probably worked. lol Yes, I know Utada is non-biney, but they weren't at the time so i'm still going with my "nerdy asian girl seducing you" read.
