How do you make it so its an smooth sheet because my one has lines as shown in 8:24 there are no lines on you one. Thank You!
Could you take a screenshot and send it to me?
@@designwithsimon I Fixed Already My Bad. I just had to do it all over again, No Worries. Thank You So Much!
Your welcome
Such a remarkably niche video but thank you so much this has helped me more than you could know
Your welcome
You’re one of the only TH-camrs that I have a similar workflow to (Fusion 360, Blender, Photoshop). Just wanted to say thank you for your tutorials.
Your welcome. Glad to hear im not the only one that uses that workflow
i m industrial designer , so for us ,is it compulasry to learn surface modeling in fusion or solid modeling is workable?
I think it would really just depend on what it is your trying to model. I don't use surfacing very often I feel like I can do most things with solid modeling. In reality knowing a bit of both would probably be best but your always going to favor one method of the other
Couldn't they just add a "cad" function to maya? It's pretty much the same except maya doesn't have the ability to use measurements like in cad.. My boss wants me to learn fusion for work, and I've been using maya since it was alias. Moving around in fusion is an absolute nightmare. They seem to have used the German method instead of the kiss method.
that would be great if it did. I know its a different software but blender does have some addons that lets you use it in a more CAD like way
how do you set the thickness?
Under the modify tab there is a thickness option. You can also do it when you have finished forms and go to the surfacing tab
where can i get the prime label image texture
i originally found the label here: www.delitea.se/prime-hydration-blue-raspberry-sportdryck-50cl i then put into photoshop to edit it slightly
Great video mate! Really helped me :)
Glad it helped!
красиво, реально
thank you
Thats Not the prime, thats premium💀😭🙏
Thank you 🙏
Hey man, I'm fairly new to making stuff on fusion360 but i know the basics. I'm going to a comic con sometime soon and I wanted to go as black noir and I'm planning on 3d printing all the accessories. Could you try to make a tutorial for the helmet on 360? It would be great help
I can have a look and see if I can figure it out, do you have any reference images that you had in mind
Great work
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you so much for all of the tutorials that you have been making or you have made I'm not too sure if you're still making them I've only just come across your channel just wanted to know that your work is very much appreciated thank you. There's also a lot of nostalgia there lol the Nintendo one of the cartridges for the 64 I had to do Golden Eye just had to. Really top tutorials Cheers mate
Thank you glad to hear you're enjoying the videos, I am still making them just not quite as frequently
How would I be bevel the side accents?
Either use chamfer or fillet depending on the shape of bevel you want start off quite small and slowly increase till you find the size that looks right
@@designwithsimon thanks for getting back to me. I was able to kind of figure it out. Watching your N64 tutorial helped as well.
no problem, glad it helped
Amazing job
Thanks!
Straight to the damn point my man. Kudos.
Thanks glad you found it helpful
Hello Simon! I really enjoy your series on the Fusion 360 - Bike Project. I had to CAD model a bicycle for my school project and I am glad I came across your videos. You have definitely helped me out big time. Thank you very much and I hope you continue to fuel your drive for success!
Thanks glad it was helpful
Hola Simon, que buenos videos...BACAN!
Thank you
outstanding
Thank you
many thanks
You are welcome
So is this possible to do with angles of pictures showing multiple perspectives. I have three reference images, with one showing the side and back, but one showing the object from a diagonal angle so to speak
Yea I'd say so. Sometimes it's really hard to find references at the perfect angle but if youv got the side views you can work it out from there
tks so much for sharing this bro <3
No problem 😊
this is unreal, nice work
Thank you!
Nice tutorial sir, God bless you. Please I am having it difficult to understand topology and continuity while using form tool.
what is it your trying to model?
Insanely helpful tutorial sir
Glad to hear that
Great vid 😎👌👍why is filleting such a pain in fusion? Ive used NX and that seemed fine..what did you do to modify, it was too fast for me 🙈 cheers 😁
Thank you. i think sometimes the fillets don't work because there are faces or edges that are to close together or overlapping. Sometimes the order you do the fillets in matters so i have had the fillets not work but then just filleted all the edges around it and then tried again and it has worked. And sometimes i think fusion just wants to be difficult
Hey man! Really appreciate you making this set of tutorials. These are great.
Thank you Glad you like them!
Do you have any suggestions or videos on how to create geometric designs on the surface of these shoes or other devices? For example auxetic shapes or hexagon designs to give them a unique aesthetic
its been a while since i did this model but you may be able to make an offset plane draw the pattern and emboss onto it, not 100% sure if that would work but its the first thing i would try
Great video, I'm always picking up valuable techniques
Great to hear! Thank you
This was an AMAZING tutorial. Exactly what i was looking for
Your welcome glad you enjoyed it
Where do you get all your reference photos?
For this one I used Amazon and screen shotted them. But Pinterest is also pretty useful alot of the time as well
Great Tutorial Simon, im struggling to follow along as im using a slightly different reference image do you have the image you used to share?
Thank you, I'm not sure if I still have it anymore I'll have a look and see if I can find it
exelent video bro, so helpful. greetings from argentina
Thank you
I'm having trouble finding the opacity even though I followed everything correctly, please help
On the right hand side in the properties panel. There should be an arrow for a drip down menu. You need to change the file type to alpha blending. Alpha means it will allow you to turn opacity on. When youv changed it to alpha you should then be able to scroll down on each material layer and a tick box next to opacity should of appeared and you can just tick that to turn it on
@designwithsimon Thank you!!, also another problem i have is when I finished my maya model in Substance painter and export the textures back to maya a strange thing happens to my model were it is disfigured and messed up but only happens to hollowed out models like a bottle, bowl, etc it's really weird, any advice? 4:47
sorry im not sure ill have a look at see if i can figure it out
Thank you so much for the lesson. It is nice to see the lesson on the combination of two programs and the final result.
You are welcome! iv recently started trying to use blender in the process and really like the results so far
Brilliant channel! Hope it takes off for you
Thank you glad you enjoyed it
very good!!😁
Thank you! 😃
why is there a plane showing up when you did not select a sketch
Construction planes you create stay on untill you turn their visibility off with either V on the keyboard or click in the eye icon in the left hand
very clear guide man thx for ur help and keep uploding u are awesome!!
Thanks, will do!
this is just perfect, thank you for sharing this I'm about halfway through your video and loving it. I've been using fusion scene oct of last year and making myself learn much as a can about it, your video made doing helmets click and start to make scene. Thank you
Great to hear!
Thanks again for this video! I finished the part one and can’t wait to finish the whole set!
Your welcome glad you're enjoying the project it was a lot of fun to do
Really a great explanation 😁
Thank you, I will be doing another updated version this week as they have added a new really useful feature
Hey Simon, loved the video do you have your models available to download?
Not yet but I am looking to make them available in the future, just need to find the best way to host them
12:45 I can't figure out this part it just keeps messing up can you help?
What is it that's happening? I think the most common problem will be that it's not a closed profile so it won't let you extrude it. Normally if you hover the mouse over it it will highlight it if it's a close profile, if it dosent it means there is a gap somewhere
@@designwithsimon I turned off the chain selection and extruded it one by one kind of like how you did and that managed to solve it. thank you for the advice!
your welcome glad you managed to solve it
Thank you so much for making this! This was exactly what i needed!
Your welcome glad it helped
Hello, I understand that challenges like this may not be very popular, but I wanted to take a moment to appreciate your work and thank you for creating these videos.
Thank you so much!
Can I request a gundam head?
yea definitely , ill take a look and see if i can figure it out, do you have a particular design you like
@@designwithsimon I think the original Rx-78-2 head should be fine. I should be able to apply the techniques to other gundam heads. Thank you 🙇🏽♂️.
ok ill see what i can do, it may take a while to figure out
Hey , would it be over stepping to ask if maybe you could make another tutorial for a Batman cowl? Its just your tutorials are really good.
Not at all I'll take a look do you have a particular reference in mind?
@@designwithsimon No, no particular reference at all, any cowl you would like. I'm just grateful that you are willing to consider making a tutorial for a cowl.
no problem, looks like it will be a fun project to figure out
@@designwithsimon I'm subbed with notifications on , I'm ready!
Could you please make a spiderman mask (some marvel creations)
Just to say iv replied to your comment on the other video
