This video was shot Saturday the 12th of October at Vancouver, WA Amtrak station of the railroad action. This is an experiment in recording train video in Standard 10 bit Video on Nikon Z6 III. Final clips were recorded in NRAW and processed with Nikon RED film LUT in Davinci Resove

Later afternoon for Sunset into Blue Hour watching the busy action at the Vancouver Washington Amtrak Station. A great hot spot with lots of BNSF and UP action to boot.

Unlike most Coast Starlight videos that are done from LA on the northbound journey of the route. This video is shot in a cinematic style taking in the views seen along the trip from Portland to Los Angeles. Traditionally the weekend before Memorial Day Weekend Railfans would gather in the Columbia River Gorge to shoot the great action and gather inside to share their conquests compiled into multimedia shows in the spirt of Winter Rail, Summer Rail, ALSS et all. Unfortunately the event is currently on hiatus but I took the opportunity to catch some of the typical action of the Gorge.

Afternoon Documentation of train action at the Vancouver, Washington Amtrak Station. BNSF & UP trains transverse interchange and busy BNSF yard always has something moving. This is an experiment in using two cameras to catch passing trains. The long shots were taken with Canon G50 Camcorder and wide passing shots were done with Nikon D75000 and 10-20 Lens.
