Unfortunately people of GoK give majority to these non performing govt's, being stable in seat govt will destabilize the governance infra services etc....Ruling govt wants encroachments to happen by the builders, it is nexus between builders, politicians, govt, land mafia...hence neglecting lake development..

Will metro alone will be good enough to suffice the traffic issue in Bangalore? The population is 1.36 crore today and increasing by 3.15 % on a yearly basis. Along with the metro, underground metro, suburban, Peripheral ring road, and along with that developing satellite cities is the need of the hour. Hope the government is able to accomplish this at a quicker phase. and Hope that Bengaluru will become garden city again from second most congested city in the world. 30 minute frequency during night makes complete sense. People will plan their travels based on when the train will arrive. This is how it works in other countries. The behaviours will change accordingly here too.

Use Indian railway tracks, enhance circular railways, most London or European mass transport system built like that. London and Paris is an excellent example. Most bureaucrats and politician just visit foreign countries for fun in tax payers money what they learn is big zero.

BMRCL officials are good at talking gibberish. They can't finish a 2.1 Kilometre missing link. They are waiting for orders from Delhi for the same.

Thank you for all the information. Very insightful about facts, figures and deadlines. When BMRCL spends so much money, it is sad to see that they cut corners when it comes to the whole passenger experience. Like for ex, the yellow and blue line at Silk board will only be connected by a 300 meter walkaltor (instead of platforms being side by side). If the RV road - Bommasandra line and the airport line were constructed side by side, the connection would've been seamless. Now passengers have to walk 300 meters to change lines and if they are going to airport, it's a headache carrying all the luggage. Nevertheless, BMRCL hopefully will change the way Bengaluru travels.

In BENGALURU A RRTS type model is required in East & West to connect 1. Anekal - HCL Jigani - Electronic city - Sarjapur- Varthur - Whitefield - Hoskote - KIA Airport 2. Kengeri - Guddahalli - Honnenahalli - KIA Airport

It is end of Septembet and we are yet to see the operations from Byapanahalli to KR puram.

500KM may be completed in 2050. Bengaluru metro is being constructed at crawling speed, if we compare with Indore, Bhopal and Agra metro speed. ORR metro should have been completed 5-10 years ago, right now it is being done at very slow speed and I think it will be completed only by 2027 or 2028.

500 kms is a dream, may be that time people would settle on Mars. First 42 kms took 12 years, next 72 kms is taken already 7 years, balance would take another 5 years, First complete 2nd phase, ensure safety, commuter friendly, speed, BMRCL is the only metro where still commuters use vehicles to reach stations.

Every one kilometre walkable distance their should be a metro station then only metro will be successful with no parking space this type of network will be a total failure

It will be really helpful for many people if atleast hebbal to silk board is fast tracked and be completed by 2024 end. Outer ring road traffic is horrible and many IT people get to use the service and a lot of vehicular traffic can be taken off the road by this .
