Thanks for the video. I wanted a smaller boat that’s easier to singlehand than my J-35, but still big enough for occasional cruising. I hope you’re not 3’ tall, because it looks fairly spacious compared to you.

If that’s a day sailer, what is my Gloucester 16, a bathtub toy?😂 Call it a “day sailer” if you want to attract the attention of folks interested in a boat but do not have deep pockets, and even then at $116-160k (per SAIL Magazine review), their pockets will need to be pretty deep. Pocket cruiser or club racer is far more accurate.

hi Charlotte I'm hoping you're still doing the buyer brokering. I'm just beginning to start looking for a boat. I'm looking at mostly either new or maybe a year old vessels. I'm very interested in 64' Absolute Navetta it's a year old but still being sold as a new boat. What are your thoughts on that?

Miss, try panning around with your camera more slowly, keeping the phone more level, and showing a wider perspective for a longer length of time, before you move in to show something up close. Think of the camera as providing a point of view, from which the viewer can look about as they wish, rather than as a scanning device. I feel seasick, and I don’t even get sick at sea !

Dad did trans Atlantic anda bunch of Bermuda trips when i was a kid on a 31' hull number 85. One to Nova Scotia too . WEnt thru locks in Europe etc etc. Anyway, that double ender tank got us home to long island ny everytime. If you buy brand new boats use hard cash dont borrow, its losing value from day one and youll be paying interest on your loan, buy second hand for the lowest price and only refit parts that really need it, then sell.

Don’t buy it! Just take a large fist full of $100.00 bills and set the free out the window of your car. Save a few though so you can hand some to a buddy as payment to kick you in the ba…..well you get it. I’m a boat owner by the way.

While the cockpit coaming is certain to help keeping the crew dry, comfortable and secure, it seems to hamper those who may want to get some weight outboard when squeezing out the knots. That being said, I personally prefer the comfort every time. Yet I keep getting dragged out to wretched racing crews who are determined to make sailing feel like work.

For 28 feet, the head is luxurious! BUT it wouldn't be great to find you must use it while making high speed runs. So I guess the Skipper needs to add to the Departure Check List: 'Use the head now, don't expect to use it underway'. (Truth be told, no one would probably like to use the head of ANY 28 footer while underway...). These videos are just great as pre-shopping tutorials. Thank you.
