Scoreboard for Change UN Women & Paulistas Brazil
มุมมอง 704 หลายเดือนก่อน
Brilliant idea from BETC Havas Sao Paulo, Brazil, to dramatise the pay gap between men and women. Women earn 20% less than men. So in the televised finals of the women's football league, goals were scored at 20% less too. Final score: Corinthians, 2.4, Sao Paulo 0.

This collaboration between BBH Singapore and Jack Morton Worldwide featured in Directory 59 in June 2021. In-game honeyfruits were recreated for real by a top chef and given to fans and influencers. Social media did the rest. "Tastes of leaf" was one report.

From Directory magazine Issue 45, 2017, Leo Burnett Melbourne's campaign for Goulbourn Valley fruit. They printed co-ordinates on the labels so shoppers could see exactly where their fruit was grown. They could do a virtual tour of the area and even book in for a stay thus turning your dessert into a tourist destination.
Camp Fruit Juice - Real Fruit Boxes

Won a Gold at Cannes 2012 for Brazilian agency Isobar. They grew fruit on the tree inside square moulds so the lemons and oranges came out looking like Camp packs. These got placed in the fresh fruit sections of stores and could be swopped at checkout for the juice. They entered the submission video into Cannes for awards in 'Best Use of Music' which is nuts!
Victoria Transport Workers Safety. Kim (Full Length)

To try to get Victorians to see transport workers as people like them to be respected, artists used their hi-vis jackets as canvases on which to telkl their personal stories. Good thinking from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.
Soko Sao Paulo Heinz Tattoo Ink

In the first quarter of 2023, Kraft-Heinz spent more on advertising than they did in the whole of 2017. They haven't just been investing in more advertising but in BETTER advertising. The results are shown in increased pride of the people who work for the brand plus increased sales. This got a well-deserved Bronze for Soko Sao Paulo at Cannes Lions 2023.

I remember many of those commercials. The best was the Spicy Meat Balls. It cracked my dearly departed husband up every time!
Clara Peller Rest in Peace. You became famous all over our country with one catch phrase. To paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill, 'Never in the field of advertising was so much owed by so many for such a small thing'
Dunno what led me here. But im glad im here.
Those three pelican fountains look like something else 🤭
3:49 oh dear that middle pelican is oriented in a way that makes it look not so pelican like
So Pepsi knew that in the future Greedy sugar Oligarchy with no music will prevail
Airlines then vs airlines now...wow.
No, "Please Don't Squeeze the Charmin!" with the guy in the Independent Life Commercial?
You could take a shower on commercial breaks, because they were long!
👍🤣
Lots of smiley-smile emojis back at ya!
My favorite commercial at 7:20. That is so funny!
It's a gem!
LMAO! "Where ..!?" SLAM!
Yo man, my ‘80s sense is tingling…
VW had the market for TV ads cornered! Informative, funny and the only self-deprecating commercial about a car, ever! The Karman Ghia! ...followed closely by that one Javelin ad. :D
Excellent! Anybody remember Hamms' "The land of sky blue waters" and Alka-Seltzer's "Whatever shape your stomach's in?"
I don't remember Hamms. But there are some more great Alka Seltzer ads from the 70s. Try 'Poached Oysters" : th-cam.com/video/lddaztZ49Aw/w-d-xo.html
Good video. The Wendy's and Pepsi commercials were from the '80s, just FYI.
My grasp on the past gets looser the older I get, I'm afraid!
You lose 10 points for not including the Glade "air conditioner" commercial th-cam.com/video/VqCa56WiS9c/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the suggestion. Next compilation will include it.
3:55 uhmmm ....those water "fountains" look totally pornographic ...I wonder I how they passed FCC censorship standards
Dick "Mr Whipple" Wilson in the Continental Insurance ad. The Southern Airlines commercial is an all-time classic
The Wendy's commercial is from 1983 / 84. But still funny!!
I don’t recall any of those commercials just a few of the sayings. Maybe they were on for a short time.
these aren't funny either.
I miss commercials like these.
Me too.
3:47 are those what I think they are?
Lol thanks for the walk down memory lane. I remember most of them well
Thank you!
I can imagine a Family Guy cutaway gag where they parody the Continental Insurance commercial by overly extending it to absurd degrees.
It's pretty absurd already, don't you think?
@@Adfanatico Yeah. Though I can imagine the gag really upping the absurdities even more.
Awesome...all from childhood. Thanks.
You soo funny
It’s 70s & 80s commercials, two of the best decades.
Wow! I still remember the Xerox ad with the monks. Had no idea that was in my brain all these years. Fun!
Where's the beef was the 80's, not the 70's
10:17 🤣 Karmann Ghia
Man, I would fly Southern Airline exclusively based on that one.
Remember every one of these fondly. Commercials were something to look forward to at one time.
The Rambler Rebel is a fine looking automobile.
It certainly is. Compared to what we had in the UK at the time, the Morris Marina and Austin Allegro, two of the dreariest cars of all time...
humor changes over time, but these are not funny at ALL! Go back to the drawing board
Copying machines have sure come a long way since back then...
8:57 imagine getting all that for $3k
according to my finger print on my middle finger i am a ford
That's amazing
Was the insurance customer Mr Whipple?
I find the best funny commercials are made in foreign countries. America could learn. You remember them.
Watching these commercials with so much fun. I remember almost every single one of them and how we laughed when they came on the air. This proves Madison Avenue really had some genius Mad Men
It really did too!
Loved the margo character as a kid. Lots of sarcasm and irony but still clear enough for little me to understand. How. How did i forget about her and that hilarious show. And btw we need that depolarisation again. Not a remake, but something new with lots of humour to show that you don’t have to be exactly the same to be friendly neighbours. Did i just turn something cool into something cringe? Nope, cringe IS cool, ppl forgot about that.
6:15 That driving segment, absolutely ageless. 😗🤌
The Wendy's "Where's the Beef" ad campaign kicked off in 1984 (i.e. the 80's). Had nothing to do with the 1970s.
who paid that announcement against Karmann Ghia?
When life was better
70's commercials? Over half of these were from the 80's. And the AMC commercial was from 1969.
Ah, Clara Peller! You'll live forever. "Where's the beef!?!"
And the Continental Insurance guy later became Mr. Whipple, famous for telling customers not the "squeeze the Charmin"!
My friend had a Carmonghia in the late 80's.
