Hello friends!
Welcome to Jackson garage. I've been in a garage my whole life and have picked up skills from watching my dad fix and work on mechanical things from appliances to vehicles. I LOVE CARS! I'm here to put into practice all the things I've learned and hope to pass some of that on to you. I hope to inspire you to get your hands dirty so that you can fix things and try things yourself while being budget-conscious.
I also love adventure and travel so among the car stuff there is travel or travel-inspired content, click, enjoy share!

Robotic Burgers! What's next!?
มุมมอง 7788 หลายเดือนก่อน
Watch a robot craft a burger from start to finish. I worked at a robotic start up company in San Francisco 2 years ago. This is how a a robotic burger is made! I can testify that these were the most delicious patties I've ever eaten, chuck 80:20 beef to fat ratio, and I ate hundreds of them. #burgers #robotics #engineering #python #hmi #eating #howitsmade

Fixing my Mongoose Brawler BMX bearings
I’m dealing with the same problem. I guess the solution is to buy new bolts?
The thread was pressed in by rolling press So it's wider now, then it was before it was pressed. Its called roll forming. You just gotta get the washer on before it's rolled. Once it's rolled, the threads are wider than the hole in the washer
Yes on white I’ll do the same on mine Too
Anyone with an answer
YES! Metric system team here let's go
😂 how they get it on in the first place..just howww
Beauty!
what is this meter is for?
Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to create and post this! I found it very enjoyable! I wouldn't want to presume to correct anyone, but maybe there's a club near you or an annual fair, where you could connect with people quite experienced, who might pass tips on to you! I did learn, and I did enjoy it, so thanks again! Also, I find it interesting that while you are feeding, the animals don't quite understand that you are the food source, and they come from afar and look to the piles on the ground for dinner first. Fascinating! Have a great day!
Thanks for your comment! I've moved to California from South Africa. My dad was into the old farm engines and raising animals. I made the video in part to remember my dad and home.
Yo i have been looking for one in this condition for a long time how much for me to buy it
You in South Africa?
@JacksonGarage na but we can ship it to the US can't we
@@2gamersforya definitely possible but sure you can get a better one in the US without the logistical expense and headaches. But if you’re serious I’ll put you in touch with the guy that’s storing it for me. He has a restoration business and imports really rough mustangs into SA.
@JacksonGarage I looked one other place but all they had was a cab so how much are you thinking to get it to the US
@@2gamersforya you’d have to look that up to your area from Johannesburg. I’m looking to get 3k for it
AF it is. Piece of junk.
Is this at Jackal Creek
Yup
And no more worrying about whether or not some, just out of high school, gender confused individual who refuses to shower daily (to save the planet!) and is making my burger actually washed their hands before returning from sitting down to relieve them-self in the All Gender restroom - Absolutely disgusting! Hey, I don't care about their gender confusion or sexual orientation. What I care about how apathetically dirty many of them seem to be. I'd rather have AI powered robots making my burger, thank you very much!
"Watch a robot craft a burger from start to finish" wow if wasn't for the description I would never figured out that the counter guy was in fact a robot!!!! most incredible robot I've ever seen, can't tell the difference from a human
See my comment below. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This is stupid and counter productive
Interesting perspective, why do you say that?
@@JacksonGarage I'm all for automation and increasing efficiency, but some of this seems very inefficient. For example, it took 15 seconds for the robot to put ketchup on the buns while the worker was waiting for it. He could have done it himself much faster.
How this works is that you can load up to 15 different sauces into the dispenser and they’re controlled by volume on the app. So the customer can choose the exact amount of sauce and customize the combinations and save their recipes for next time. It’s not so much about labor reduction as it is about precision of ingredients and the freshness of the ingredients and patty. The patty is freshly ground and formed in the machine.
PSA: Unplug the balance connector FIRST and plug it in LAST. If you don't, all the battery power could go through those little wires and very bad things will happen.
That’s really good advice actually!
Not proper explanation of how the engine works 😢
Please fill in the gaps for us. My dad was the expert and as life sometimes goes I didn't learn enough from him. He was a mechanical wizard.
Now what about the bearing replacement at the other end of the axle? It appears that it must be caged bearings because I don't see a race where I can glue the bearings with grease individually and have them stay in place. Any info on the source of the caged bearing or anything else on this would be appreciated.
Very Nice
I also Fix Mine.... But is there anyway i can buy another White Tabs. Mine one are Toast. And also im willing to just buy those white Tabs than Using Slow Home Charger. Hyper Charger is what i want to use
I soldered new wires to the board. I’m not expecting to have to remove it again.
Back then it was the fastest - affordable - 4 doors...
And stylish!
Always have thumbs on top same side as fingers no broken thumbs if goes wrong
Very good advice.
it would be more nicer if the car was blue or a darker color because both the car and the wheels are white so it does not pop out that much
How do you order the bearings?
I found them on Amazon.
Any luck? I’m dealing with the same issue
It’s made that way. Washer is put on and then the threads rolled.
Pretty much my experience with a 20year old rusted mongoose expert I found. Nice vid!
Anyone know where I could find a diagram for the rear hub on this bike
I’d just take it apart, it’s pretty simple.
I received my Brawler with the non-drive side so loose that the bearings fell out of the deformed bearing cage. Also the cap appears to be missing a center. So in this case we really need a diagram of what the parts should be like. If you could just post a a diagram or photo of the non-driver side assembly It would be so helpful.
@@jcs8997 These are the bearings I bought: Coaster Hub Bearing 7/32 x 9. for Bicycle Wheels www.amazon.com/dp/B078G9X34H?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1
@@JacksonGarage Thank you for your informative reply on sourcing the bearings. We can still use information on all of the parts involved with rebuilding the non-drive side. My bearing cover is missing it's center. I don't know if other parts are missing. I have no problems with the traditional bearing and cone arrangement on the driver side, but the non-driver side still stumps me. Pacific Bicycle has no support on this: no parts diagram and no repair parts. Your bearing info is the most helpful so far. Thank you again.
Bro u did not explain shit
I have converted my sons Brawler to 14mm axle.... really happy now with propper sealed bearings.....it's a shame...some parts of this bike are really good manufactured... The frame is very well welded......but those 10mm axles are only suitables for a toy.
Agreed!
Now the bearing failures make sense. I used to design heavy machinery, you’d be surprised how much bearings/hubs cost relative to basically everything else. The first place to cut costs on a bike would be axles and crank quality. Do you have a suggested hub/axle? I’ve got a brawler as well, I’d like to bomb hills without worrying.
@adrianvalbuena8158 what hardware did you use to do this? I’m looking to do the same thing.
This is great! Thanks for sharing. I like the modular design of having 4 smaller boxes, brilliant! I'm about to start building a box for Nissan Leaf modules and may do something similar. Are you sharing the CAD file you created? Thank you.
Hey Kenny, I’m glad it’s helped you. The boxes are quite simple and the CAD isn’t that useful, I used fusion 360 just for practice.
@@JacksonGarage Awesome, I think I will build something similar. Do you have a video showing how all four go together either inside the car or out? Thanks!
@@KennyGillis The vehicle was off site but the boxes were meant to slide in on rails.
@@JacksonGarage Nice, did you ever finish that project?
@@KennyGillis I just built the batter boxes and then handed then to another guy that was building the BMS etc. I'm not sure of the state of the project currently.
You look like Billie Joe Armstrong 😁
But did u fix it and how? This just happened to me I need help
I did! I didn’t video it like a dork. I just soldered jumper wires from the board to the cable. Start by carefully soldering to the board. Then the wires to the plug is easy. The other trick I did was to clean the connections of the carbon deposits. That should last a few months. I don’t use the ultra chargers on any stock pints. Only on my modded one. Good luck.
A Lister CD engine, exceedingly rare.
😍😍😍💞♥️👏👍
I'm thinking about heating the washer?
No shoes are you nuts man ?
Haha, I guess I haven’t learned the lesson yet.
@@JacksonGarage one black toe nail and you will lol
Ahh the nostalgia! Pinzgauer and Haflinger have not only been in the Austrian Army for decades, but have also been the backbone of Swiss armed forces. Having had my military service in 1993 in the infantry we drove a lot of times in these and these insane machines get you everywhere.
They're really interesting beasts. I like the way the engine, gearbox and diff are all one unit.
When I started my SC for the first time after the pandemic it was like a WW2 warship doing "make smoke"
Haha, they need to be driven!
Its a great old engine! I have a 1927 Anderson that runs like a top when you can convince it its needed! Its not hard to start , will start every time but sometimes wants to go back to sleep and promises to go to work tommow maybe!
That's wonderful. I've always had healthy respect for these things.
Do you know why my onewheel lost its automatic balance?
NO! Damn, sorry about that, I haven't had that problem yet. Check out VESC and maybe you can install one of those controllers?
Crisp!
Have you had issues where the charger light stays green? and never charged the Onewheel
Yes, that’s exactly the problem I had. The charging cable connection to the BMS can only take 1 amp. Shouldn’t be charged with the ultra charger at 3 amps.
Very unhelpful. Why would u post this on youtube. And make it seem like its a how to video . this is more of a tiktok type video . .... Do better dude or maybe actully take the time to show step by step how to assemble the hud .. Smh ..
*THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR !* 🙏🤯 *Your video helped me identify the problem and fix it !* ❤ _(🔽 Details and steps below 🔽)_ I bought my Pint on a second hand, and always used the SuperCharger without questionning its electrical dimensions. But a few weeks ago, for no reasons, it stopped charging. The charger and the board were still displaying their LED indicators, but no more juice seemed to enter in it. I first thought it was because of the battery _(« 1600km, might be dead. »)_ until today, when i finally opened the board, tested it out and realized it was almost full charge. So i started to investigate, and found your video. That lead me to have a closer look at the BMS... and i found the *same burnt connector* (T93B). So i *unlocked the wires with a small screwdriver* _(gently pull the plastic strip on the top to free the wires)_ , and started to *scratch the burnt areas* with a cutter and thin sandpaper. Once done, i *plugged everything back* , *plugged the classic charger* ... and now my multimeter says that it is charging again ! Cannot thank you enough for helping me fix the problem without spending a single cent _(except for this damn T20 security torx bit)_ ! 🔥🛹
That’s so rad! I’m glad the video helped you out. I now only charge with the home charger. I’m thinking of maybe changing out the connector. It seems to be a silly design.
@@JacksonGarage Same here. Maybe just replacing the wires with bigger ones that could handle 3A would be enough to prevent overheating ? Anyone knows if they fixed that issue on the GT ? 🤔
I came to see if there was a case on the chain side and how to put in the three tabs on the sprocket side hub. I only found out there is no case on the chain side. Thank !
Nice looking car
Where did you buy the motherboard and battery from
It came with the Pint.
So you didn’t buy them separately. Like you bought an entirely brand brand new One wheel?
@@aldoo3444 I fixed the connection to the BMS.
@@aldoo3444 I bought a 2nd onewheel because it came with the home charger. Then I fixed the BMS on the "broken" board and have been charging it with the home/ 1A charger since without any issues.
Choice of vehicle ..10 out of 10......choice of shirt ? Out of 10 !!
11!
its hot from resistance in the connection.
Yip. Not a very good design considering the beating these boards take.
That engine is awesome, same with the animals. They get so excited when they see the food
They know that when they’re hand fed it must be something special haha.
