For the Love of Cobs

I’m by no means an expert when it comes to smoking a pipe. But I do enjoy a good session with one of my corn cob pipes. As my collection of cobs is growing I wanted to create a channel that features the beautiful workmanship of Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipes. Not reviews as much as reveals. For the fellow cob lover who’s looking for simple videos that showcase the pipes they’re considering for their own collection. I don’t expect any how-to videos or analytical deep dives into tobaccos or technique. It’s really all for the love of cobs.

In this video, I’ll introduce you to my very first corn cob pipe, explain why it’s not actually my first cob, and share an important lesson I learned with this pipe on breaking in my cobs (a subject I may tackle in an upcoming video). The Boone has been an adventure. And even though it’s my first cob, it’s still one of the first ones I reach for in my rotation. A younger cousin to the Country Gentleman, this guy smokes very well (especially since I’ve recently modified with an acrylic stem from Vermont Freehand, which I’ll feature in a future video). On top of that, it looks great, and feels great - whether in the hand or clenched. Absolutely one of my favorites.
