My yard is full of wonderful live oaks but holy crap all the land underneath them is barren! And that’s like my whole yard!!!

I have a stackable system inside, but do not use a lid so there is no problem of lack of airflow.

I have 2 planted in Southern Nevada. They keep being eaten to the ground by rabbits, i just put small fences around them. One is in full sun and the other in part sun. They’re on 2 gallon/hr drips that go off once a day for 15 minutes. Is this too much or not enough water? We are drier here than Texas

I know this is an older video but I so need to know if I’ve goofed. I got the sage salvia in early spring. It didn’t have a bunch of blooms on it. I read spring was when it blooms so I’m thinking it was done with flowering. I trimmed or dead headed the few blooms that was on it. It’s gotten huge but no more blooms. Should I have cut it back in late spring??? Or not prune like I did, well didn’t prune. I see gardeners with beautiful blooms now. It’s early August. Is now a good time to cut back. It’s grown so tall and full. Thank you.

Would your channel be good to follow if I am in Cooke County, Tx? I know our soils in TX can vary GREATLY. It seems we have a sandy loam soil? It's sandy the first foot or two and then a mixed clay further down it seems.

Lantana is a pest plant if gets out in the wild it will take over everything in its way. When I was young I mean when I was still going to school my uncle bought a dairy farm that was nearly taken over by this pest, and my cousin and I used to spend all our school holidays removing it. We used to use an old crawler tractor to pull it out then put it in a pile for burning. All for the princely sum of 20 cents a day and a body covered in scratches from this lantana.

Our new neighbors moved in and had someone come in and cut the beautiful live oak off that lives between our homes off at the joints. 😩. I’m not an arborist by any means and I knew that was not how to prune it. When my husband and I saw it we were so disappointed. Now we have to watch it slowly deteriorate and what’s worse is it’s in the front yard. It’s quite sad. We’ve also had to very kindly ask them not to continue to spray weed killer through our chain link fence on windy days might I add because guess what, that’s where my garden is. Oh and to top it all off, he’s a “lawn care guy” trying to build his business. Thanks but no thanks.

Love it. Thinking of doing much the same against our .15-acre natural pond in the backyard. We get pretty cold up here in Indiana, so my question is, do you take the fish out in the winter? I would likely have to install a tank heater.
