Small mistake you have done! You must Copy paste the databases from data folder from backup. Then old databases will be available (6:24)

ALERT ⚠This kinda works, BUT ⚠ 1.) first you have to export your whole database in phpmyadmin ... 2.) then you can delete and replace all your data in the folder as shown here in 6:22 ... 3.) after that you can run phpmyadmin again with the new MariaDB version, but your old database is missing there, so... 4.) you have to create a new database there with the same name as the old one ... 5.) click on the database name in phpmyadmin and import the previously exported database ("yourdatabasename.sql") here. After that you finally have new MariaDB version and also your site is hopefully working as before 👍

I wouldn't call it a success. You deleted your data and used the sample data to demonstrate it was upgraded. The very first step should have been to export any databases so you have a backup which could then be imported. You did backup the original installation, which is good, but having the exported sql file would make life a lot easier when trying to get the new version working. I would also be sure to export the phpMyAdmin database so you don't lose any saved bookmarks.

SO i stopped the project and thought i was never able to do it again. # months later your video randomly came on my recommended section.
