Old Saint Paul’s is a welcoming and inclusive Anglican church in the Catholic tradition. It stands on the site of the original home of Scottish Episcopalianism in Edinburgh. Today, it is a living centre of worship and witness in the heart of Edinburgh.
People have worshipped on this site since 1689, when a breakaway group from the old cathedral of Saint Giles led by Bishop Alexander Rose moved into an old wool store in Carrubber’s Close.
Although the present building dates from the 19th century, Old Saint Paul’s has a history going back 300 years to the beginning of the Scottish Episcopal Church.
More than any other church in Scotland the history of Old Saint Paul’s has been the history of the Scottish Episcopal Church itself; often embattled, at times romantic, on occasion triumphant.
Registered Scottish charity number SC017399.

Such a shame the pews have been replaced with less comfortable chairs. The choir get nice pews but the congregation don’t. I love traditional pews, much more comfortable

You will be aware that you feature prominently in your former Rector, Richard Holloway's, autobiography, 'LEAVING ALEXANDRIA'; and it was moving to see your service, not least because my dear late mother was a member of the Episcopal Church of Scotland (Holy Trinity, Elgin). In these dark times I hope you are able to continue flourishing.

I've watched for a short time. Nothing I've seen or heard is to be found in my King James Bible New Testament.
Lovely, but why in so many Anglivcan churches are the choir stalls in the way of the pople's full view of the altar? Is it because many ceremonies take place with only the chopir present?
It’s to emphasise that they are also worshipers. And it’s been so so so long now I don’t think it could change. Also your right… it goes back before the reform to when the clergy would have to sing the 7 daily offices whether anyone turned up or not and wanted the best seat
People who eat their god in an evil ritual of transubstantiation are satanists. They then go back the following week to do it all again. They go to unbiblical buildings where unbiblical prists conduct this vile process. They scorn the Pure and Preserved word of Almighty God . Temple worship and sacrifice, along with the priesthood, were completely abolished by the Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary. Hebrews chapters 7-10 in the King James Bible.

As usual, the backdrop is littered with graven images of the revered dead. The whole environment and its activities are nowhere to be found in my King James Bible. The scriptures reach me that Almighty God does not dwell in temples made with hands. Acts 6 : 13-15 , 7 : 42-51, 17 : 23-25 , Hebrews 8 : 2 , 9 : 11 & 24 et al. KJV. Thankfully, this pagan temple ( Acts 19 : 37 KJV ) will close soon .
