What permits do I need to take my Aprilia 155cc scooter from India to Lo Manthang via Pokhara Ghandruk Tadapani Jomsom? Can I get explore villages in Farwest also?
Documents required entering Nepal with own vehicle *Registration Certificate of vehicle *Driving license *Customs permit (called Bhansar in Nepali) *Government issued ID (Citizenship, Voter ID or Passport) For Lo Manthang you'd need Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) pass and Restricted Area Permit. Yes you can explore villages in Farwest.

Do you guys know if these areas were affected by the recent flood? I heard that Namche Bazar was affected.
As far as we know only Thame village has been affected by the recent flood.

I do not understand why people keep hiking through Tengboche twice, when there is a much more interesting high trail on the opposite side of the valley via Phortse. The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly more impressive views high across the valley, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Only come down via Tengboche.
This was our first time going on a trek to this region, we before hand didn't know about that the Mong LA -Phortse- Pangboche Trail as well. We went during the COVID pandemic in February so we most of the places were shut down even in Pheriche. We probably will do that trail when we go there again!
