Turning Point's Health and Care Futures Webinar series is a collection of webinars to mark and celebrate Turning Point's 60th year, looking into some major challenges facing the health and social care sector. This webinar asked the question of how can we move more people with a learning disability out of long stay hospital? Julie Bass, Turning Points Chief Executive, chaired this webinar, and was joined by Robin Miller, Professor of Collaborative Learning in Health & Social Care in the Department of Social Work and Social Care at the University of Birmingham, and Davinder Jhuty, National Head of Service - Learning Disability at Turning Point.

I was scripted... then became a service user rep which was a large part of my recovery as I started to take responsibility and give back. Some years later I became a peer mentor for a short while and... now I feel like a responsible productive member of society again. All started with service user repping Well done Lukas and keep up the good work mate x

Can I call u guys for some MUCH MUCH NEEDED &(more importantly) >>WANTED! Advice, help that I'm desperate for I've tried everything and sad to say let down by my local drug team who were great I got clean once before and remained clean for 13 yrs I asked for help after a nervous break Down and relapsing after all that time I could even sit with people who still used and smoked and it did not even bother me one tiny bit it didn't cause me to crave I didn't miss it I thought that people who Relapse with silly because first time mistake you don't know what you'll get himself into second time you're an idiot if you choose to I suppose that makes me an idiot but I'm not getting the help that myself I think after my track record I deserve last 2 years have been through a lot to no excuse but it is what it is I just want to change it
