Welcome to my journey as an artist
Strangest Things - Personal Project + VFX Breakdown
Strangest Things VFX Project | Final Result + VFX Breakdown for Stranger Things Cinematic Universe
In this video, I showcase the final VFX shot inspired by Stranger Things, along with a detailed breakdown of how the effect was achieved. This project was part of my work at Alpha Chromatica, where I aimed to seamlessly blend a screen burn-in shot into the eerie, 1980s world of Stranger Things.
The shot features dramatic lighting shifts, glitching effects, and period-specific props like a Sony Trinitron TV and oscilloscopes, all designed to raise the stakes in an alternate storyline where a new character, David, tries to save Jim Hopper from the Demogorgon.
Watch the final result, followed by a breakdown of the key compositing techniques used to bring the shot to life.
If you're a VFX artist or just curious about cinematic visual effects, this video will give you a glimpse into how storytelling and technical expertise come together.

THE CREATOR - HOW TO DO LASER EFFECT
มุมมอง 14K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
I did a challenge a couple of months ago that consisted of taking a raw render and making it look cool. I had a few days to complete the look but I learned a lot from this. My main takeaway from this challenge is the creation of this effect that I developed. I hope you enjoy the breakdown and you find it insightful. Special thanks to Miodrag C. for the initiative and Sergey Lebeda for creating ...

X-GUN (GANTZ) Hard-surface modeling
มุมมอง 9002 ปีที่แล้ว
So far one of the most ambitious 3D models I have made. This X-Gun is a design from the Manga "Gantz" by Oku Hiroya. Everything was modeled in Maya, rendered in Arnold, and textures made in Substance 3D painter and Photoshop. Hologram video effect is made in After Effects and sound design made in Premiere Pro.

I am Moises Moreno from Monterrey, Mexico. I'm applying for 3D animation and Visual Effects Disclaimers *In the painting contest I gave the rights of the painting, so a designated designer could work with it and create a dress. I did not design the dress, I made the painting with which the dress was made. The design of the gun in the final sequence is based on a manga called Gantz, I was respon...

Can you make a series on Nuke beginner to advanced?
What would you like to learn?
@@moisesmorenoo I want to start out with nuke, want to learn basics, compositing tips, cg integration etc, about the node workflow, and also like some advanced stuff as well. I really appreciate your response mate, Keep growing ;)
Great idea
@@moisesmorenoo I would support this so much!
Tried doing this effect for myself in blender with less success.. never considered doing it in fusion or nuke! Looks great!
Try it out!
Brilliant, thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching!
so smart
Appreciate it!
really nice idea!! I also got this shot and am working on some ideas
Would love to see!
Where and how would I go about learning more about nuke composting seems really interesting and I wanna level up my skill set
There are options. Online free or paid, whatever you choose be consistent
@@moisesmorenoo Sorry if the question was to broad. paid option seems like the best course of action who's a good person to follow or pay for to learn nuke from?
@@Last0wner I've went to VFS, paid Hugos Desk course, fxphd courses and currently on ACE compositing program... All of them are good I'd say but it all depends on how much are you willing to invest in your education. Id suggest you follow all these guys also: Tony Lyons, Alfie Vaughan, Josh Parks, Adrien Pueyo, Love VFX they have some good and free tutorials. The foundry also has some good tutorials out there, you can find creators in their youtube channel as well. Victor Perez is another one... This is just to name a few... But so far I've never taken a more specialized course than Alpha Chromatica, find them on LinkedIn. Hope this helps
Awesome! So I believe this method is used on breakdown videos where we see scenes transformed from without-textures to full textures?! Wanted that! Thank you! (...now I just have to try it in AE..!)
good luck!!
That's great brack down ❤ Sir , One Nuke compositing series u launch on TH-cam channel. Basic to advanced. For Beginners Thanks 🙏
What would you like to learn?

Remember you were on hugo's desk. Really solid.
Awesome comps Moises!
Thanks you!!🎉
great ❤😊
This is so well done!! I have always wanted to learn nuke (currently using after effects) but nukes seems so intimidating
It is a matter of getting familiar with little by little😁
You will love nuke once you dive in, I never looked back 😁
@@bintangspratama Same. I’ll say ae you would want to see it mainly as a motion graphics tool that can do compositing
i use After Effects for post composition ( I do 3D Animations ) is nuke a best option ? or should I keep using AE?@@bintangspratama
he cant keep getting away with this
LOL😂😂
wow... you have earned a sub. Do you make tuttorials
What do you want to learn? I could make some
@@moisesmorenoogetting better at compositing. However, I use fusion for my compositing so that might be tough. The same concept can still apply regardless.
Definitely, it's not about just the software but the methodology behind @@triluxcreative
excelente trabajo con nuke, saludos desde monterreina
