    Are the door stops made of rubber? If not, what material?

      It’s some kind of flexible rubber. Go to the hardware store and look at door stops that keep the door handle from going through the drywall.

    No matter how you do it, there will be equal force on both ends (Newton's third law). However, using the wrench the correct way means you will not slip off. So the message is correct, but the explanation is not.

    • @angelitolozano8742
      @angelitolozano8742 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jeffwiseman0286 I believe it's going to be fire. It has fuel (when it cranks it smells like fuel) I don't have a scanner (I have one the micro mechanic) but it's not competitive with my truck. But besides that I have no trouble codes at all.

    • @jeffwiseman0286
      @jeffwiseman0286 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@angelitolozano8742 first thing first. Find out for sure what is missing. You can get an inline spark checker. Put it in and have a friend crank it over look to see if you have spark. If you have spark then you’ll probably want to purchase a fuel pressure kit. You may have fuel but not enough. You can find these tools cheap online or harbor freight. Sometimes advanced auto will have a loan a tool program (you basically buy it, use it and return it) so it won’t cost you any money. If you don’t have spark suspect whatever controls spark: crank sensor, cam sensor, broken/chewed wire, etc. . If you are careful, you could spray just a little bit of starting fluid in the intake to see if it fires up for a second. That will tell you fuel is missing if it starts and dies.

      Great question, there are several factors, (like location small town vs bigger city, certifications of the tech, etc) but the median salary is $47,770 a year for automotive techs. This means 1/2 earned more and 1/2 earned less. I think we will see this go up in years to come as we are down about 600,000 automotive techs in the US.

    Well, unfortunately, there’s pressure on both sides of the wrench

      Yes but doing it backwards will greatly increase your chances of slipping off

      @jeffwiseman0286 One could argue that is incorect.. considering physics the pressures on the two arms of the wrench will be equal or negligible different for our debate so when you use it the “right way” you put pressure on the tip of the moving part but when you use it the “wrong way” you put that pressure on the base of the moving part so considering that moving part a lever and considering that the base of the moving part is more thicker than the tip, you will have a higher chance to break it using the “right way” than the “wrong way”…

      Regarding the slipping off situation it shoud not be the case if: 1. your adjustable wrench is not rounded at the contact points whith the nut at which point you should not use it anymore as a wrench, 2. if you hold it right in jour hand and attached well to the nut and 3. if you adjust it right to the size of the nut.

    Crazy, if people are using tools, _but don’t know how to use them_ maybe they _shouldn’t be using them_ lol. Nonetheless, thanks for the video. I’m sure there’s someone out there who can find this helpful 🎉🎉

    You don't show how to connect air, or what the barrel connector looks like, or anything very helpful. Why don't you do it over and actually show moving some oil ?

    • @jeffwiseman0286
      @jeffwiseman0286 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I will give this some consideration. The air is connected like you would any air powered tool with a quick connect fitting. Most people in the trades industry know what I am talking about. I explained that the barrel connection is screwed in ( I made a comment to make sure you don’t cross thread it). At this time I don’t have any oil to gather, and I don’t see why ppl would want to watch me pump oil. In my opinion, if I were someone looking find a good way to transport used oil, I would find this video helpful. Thanks for the comment.

      @@jeffwiseman0286 Hey Jeff, thanks for replying. Sorry if my comment wasn't great, I've never seen one of those air-powered pumps in use before so I didn't get it (and it was late at night..). I read your comment back and looked up some air powered pumps, and I get it now. I have a friend with a shop who burns used oil, he probably pumps with something similar but I've never been with him when he did it. I like to look at videos of things I'm not familiar with, so maybe I'll learn something useful. Your set-up for getting oil out of another barrel looks really handy. I subscribed too. Take care

    In order to charge a completely depleted battery with the prologix, you have you put it in "soft start" mode to override the normal charging process. It works.
