Hi thanks for the video, I have a 15 year old architect 950 amp with 8 Sonos connects. I’m looking to upgrade to Sonos amps for new features. Would you recommend this over simply purchasing sonos ports and using my existing architect amp?

Can someone explain 7 sonos ports are necessary?

just got Sonance 8.1 Garden Series with Elura 150 Amp. It worked for 2 days and then 6 speakers dropped offline and the left and right channels of the 2 working speakers were blended...yes. It sounds crazy. The AV company came out just yesterday to troubleshoot and decided to rewire. I had a 14/4 going all around and then through a drainage pipe that runs from a downspout to the outer ring around the property. That wire was the culprit. A squirrel or something chewed up the wire really good in multiple places...little bugger

If the house was bumped up closer to the patio, do you think the amplifiers are necessary? I’m other words, would the Sonance 6.1 alone be sufficient?

a good start I will say , after a couple years of being on this journey you'll end up pretty much like everyone else with separates , dual subs , acoustic treatments , transducers , the whole enchilada. like me

Bro....I'm sorry to say.... That's the worst place to keep front speakers. LCR tweeters should be kept at ear level in sitting position. You kept on top of the tv !!!! And secondly, front left and right speakers should be kept 6-8 ft apart based on tv size. That way, you get wider sound stage. Left and right speakers should form am equilateral triangle with sitting position. All these are absolute basics bro.... Please refer some Dolby placement articles etc. All the best.

Failure L/R/LS/RS speaker & subwoofer position set up. Go read some HT knowledge before doing installation.

Very cool setup. Mine is similar. I like how you put the sub in the wall though. Is that the enclosed sealed box simply put behind drywall? Did you put it in there before you put the drywall in or cut it out and patch?
