There was a time when I was watching at least 1 film per day. A lot of my friends say I have a passion for film, and that I should make a channel to share my knowledge and expertise. I will mainly do video reviews, but they'll mostly be about lesser known films instead of what's currently in theatres. I might even do a few video essays if I'm feeling ambitious. Get out a pen and paper because I'm gonna review EVERYTHING.

MovieFiendz Review: Freud's Last Session (2023)
A hell of a roller coaster really. There's multiple plot twists. One of the those movies that made me cry like a Child after knowing what happened to Hyujin. I empathize with the father so much. The bullying really broke my heart. I'll give this one a 9 out of 10 movie rating.
It's a matter of taste really. For someone like me who hasn't watched a lot of Chinese thriller drama it was a good movie, the plots within the movie were engaging and had substance. I find that pseudo-movie critiques tend to overlook the integrity and the thought provoking subleties of certain scenes, their ego overshadows open-mindedness as they think they've seen everything and can predict anything. You comparing it to other Chinese movies and looking at it as trend or pattern subjected you to generalize and put this movie in a bubble resulting to a biased and pessimistic review. You didn't even mention a single thing about the acting. I personally think the actors gave justice and life to the characters they portrayed. So I give your movie review a 2.
@@zonezooit2230 I was digging the movie the whole way but the last third tripped on itself with censorship and contrived matters. I give your comment a grabble out of four possible grabbles
I saw this on TCM recently. I really love it!
It's ones the best movie made in america. True sarcasm without newborn politicalcorrect trends. Simple humor for simple people.

@@kaynleiner7595 I saw it in theatres, sorry
I just got done watching this movie and I agree, I had fun and the subversion of the main character was definitely unexpected, but not somethin' I outright hated.
I agree that it had too many YA troupes but I enjoyed it. I wish the ending was different and the prophet was dealt with.
Thanks for the review, will still be getting the Radiance upcoming bluray release
lol great review
2013 has come and gone but the apocalypse didn't come but given the way things are in America it might as well be given who is running the country aside from that where is the armed forces in this
This is in fact *A LOVE STORY* no question about it. The love, the power of friendship between to friends. It is my favorite friendship story by far. Could not disagree more with your review of the film.
Suddenly it became one of my favorite movies all time, even being a very simple movie. The fact that I was unpretensiously choosing a saturday afternoon movie to watch with my widow-mom and it came like an arrow straight into the chest. Maybe the familly core affected me more thant the usual, but the honor that Bobby had to avenge his father making his path to become a cop made me completely satisfied in both human and spiritual senses. Grateful to Jeff Bezos for letting this amazing piece on Amazon's catalogue. Definitely will become a bootleg t-shirt. Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Love your reviews and channel, man. Really enjoyed this movie a ton, and glad I caught it in theaters.
In many ways an absolutely wonderful film. A masterpiece!
The book became more interesting as it went on, the characters were likable and I’m glad my judgements about characters were pretty spot on but challenged by events.
I love this movie. Society 1989.
This is an underrated classic. Wonderful actors and seeing current events with that psychopath trump, terrifyingly relevant. Saw it when it aired originally and I was in college. Definitely 9\10 for me.
An underrated classic deserves at least an 8 or 9
Its finally available for streaming!anyways when i looked at them i didnt think they were hillbillies, they might not look like theyre from the city but that dosent make them hillbillies, probably thats why he has a mullet but i didnt think they were hillbillies, over here in the USA if they had cammo like wearing hunter outfit and the way they talk like from the south and had nascar sticker in their truck now thats hillbillies
@@KankoSpezzia country hicks is another term but they are kind of interchangeable. Don't forget this movie is a remake of an American horror comedy in which Tucker and Dale are hillbillies, leading into the trope of the evil inbred hillybilly killer. Like The Hills Have Eyes or Wrong Turn.
Will you ever continue the manga review series? If so could you review berserk?
@@CamScotford I have already read Berserk before I made this channel, but I may revisit it someday (its a harsh read)

Just got 6-8 and wanted a recap before continuing on so this video is perfect!
4 women chasing hot young guys. TLDR
It's a shame you didn't like it, because I loved the way the criminal is portrayed as a cruel being who doesn't care who gets in his way. It is a story about a real serial killer from Japan called Akira Nishiguchi and several of his scenes are recorded at the locations of his real crimes. I understand that the ending was a bit confusing to understand what the director meant when the criminal's bones are thrown into the wind, but as a whole it's a great film.
Agreed.
Amazing film🍻
I agree with “unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my entire life!”-Those are exactly the words I was going to use to describe it! I discovered this film two years ago. A splendidly creepy, suspenseful movie which takes its time-satisfyingly-allowing the peculiar plot to unfold. After watching it, buying the DVD, and subsequently doing a dive into South Korean horror in hopes of finding _more_ gems similar to _Hansel and Gretel,_ much to my disappointment I was never able to find any others quite like it. (btw, I _too_ felt that the “Santa Claus” backstory could have been trimmed down a bit.) Interestingly, _The Wailing_ was one of the movies I checked out during this quest; but it just wasn’t the same. Also checked out quite a few Chinese horror films which…were not what I was searching for. If you’ve found anything similar since making this video, please let me know!

Hi there, I've come across your review of "Dirty" (2005) whilst looking for some clips from this motion picture for my own review. I think that you might have been a little hard on the flick since we have to keep in mind that it's a low-budget production and we have to lower our expectations accordingly... Obiovulsy, it's not "Training Day" or ""End of Watch," but it's still a pretty decent film, albeit with many flaws. Let's agree to disagree on this one, but keep doing a stellar job anyway :). Should you want to check out MY take on "Dirty," please feel free to do so :).
Thanks for doing this review, after watching the trailer 3 times I still didn't have a clue as to what it was about! I also think yours is the only review in English here on TH-cam, so thank you tons. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work bud 👍🏿
I reeeeealy want to watch this. Do you know where I can find it?
Piratebay :3
Worst take on this film yet. It was superb and deserves way higher than a 6.5.
I'm surprised that this novel reminds me of The Page Master, in a sense. Lol. Sounds like a great novel.
Fabulous movie. I loved it so much, that I watched it twice. Great acting. 3 out of 10?!!! No way man. I give it a 7, minimum. I'm a senior and have seen lots of movies. This one is intriguing. It makes me angry in the beginning, thinking the suspect might be innocent, but then emotions change to hating the guy. In the end, it's like life. Shit happens. In reality, the guy has to kill again before police can nail the punk. I loved this movie.
the pimp in this film is my dad Pete Richardson
So is there a English version

Good review. I really enjoyed this film. I feel it really gave insight into the Vietnamese culture of the time. The first half feels dreamlike from Mui’s perspective. The way she views the ants, the dew dropping and the papaya seeds is aligned with childhood memories. Also, I find it fascinating that “mui” in Vietnamese means “scent” in English. This is definitely a film for multiple viewings and interpretations.
you’re very handsome 🥲
Wait. Didn’t he die of a heart attack? It been a while since I’ve read it but I don’t remember him being murdered.
Yes, he died of a heart attack. No idea what he's talking about in the beginning of this review.
Thursday Next is a great series. ❤
So you did a great job with the review! I told some of the scenes with my dad what happens in this movie and he thought it sounded kind of creepy! I saw this movie as well! Going into this blindly having knowing nothing about this movie! I was thinking of this idea for an episode where the main character’s dog gets stolen by two cult leaders who are naked and the cults supports a tree! Also I wanna name the episode “the house of the cult” You can guess what’s that’s a reference to! Also after the main character kills the man cult leader the woman cult leader eats his heart and turns into a creepy angel to kill our main character!
Annie isn't a spoiled brat, where did you get that? she calm and composed. Just look at how Michelle treats her, what kind of remarks she gets from that woman from the neighbourhood. She, as a normal kid, wants attention and wants to be treated like the kids around her.
Great sum up, agree with your score.
I'm sorry dude but you're really hard to please you always overthink a movie you never surrender to it and like it for what it is. Are you one of these film school types who can't enjoy anything because their pointy-headed teacher is always going Chekhov's Gun this Chekhov's Gun that? You don't even like Giallo
@@dornravlin I have probably seen more giallo than you and your mates combined. Go make your own video review of Who Saw Her Die

The spooks apprentice series is called The Last apprentice in the US and Canada if I remember correctly definitely in the US but it is 13 books long plus a short story collection, a bestiary, and a sequel trilogy the star blade chronicles
I read this after hearing the Iron Maiden track, was a good read if somewhat low key fantasy.
