I’m assuming you have the 2/4 wheel transfer case from the donor truck? Looks like you are ripping it up and down in 2 WD the way it slips sideways on hard shifts and power braking. I kept waiting for the door in the bed to fly out.

The key to these trucks is learning how to do the brake torque modulation to lock up the diffs. I think with the added power that would be easier on yours. Those trails look a lot like some of our Alaskan outback. We air down to 8-10 psi and it makes off road so much more smooth on the spine. More traction too. Don’t know if that is wise without bead locks.

You have done a ton of work on this project. We use our Humvee on and off road. Stock 6.2 diesel is so weak. But off road it is virtually flawless. Highway to and from not so much. My guess is that gasoline engine is getting 9 to 11 mpg??? All the LS swaps I’ve seen are thirsty thirsty in the Humvee platform. Brings me back to the weak pathetic diesel it will go forever off road on a tank but so low on power. So I’m torn if an LS swap is the best for my needs even as I look for more highway cruising power. And again dirt legal will get you street legal. Progressive commercial insurance line will insure it for you.

A factory Talldeck 366 or 427 would thrive all day long at 3800 rpms let alone cruise efficiently at 2200-2600 rpms. If I ever get a little bit of "F You Money" saved up ill definitely see what happens when I swap a clapped out 6.2 detroit for a talldeck.
