@@julesvis Thanks. The frost was a bit icy & I needed both hands so didn't record it all & the camera battery was a bit flat again! You can see the north side is full of frost & that's the side you have to walk on!

As long as you both remain safe, that's the main thing .

@julesvis Thank You very much for that! We all need to stay safe, you never know what's around the corner! Today was less icy frosty but there were still patches of it & you definitely don't want to step on any of them pointing at the wrong angle!

I'm really glad if it inspired you to want to go up there again! Maybe you're not too old, I'm nearly a pensioner myself!

@@stephenhiggins8821 Yes, & it's still as slippery as it was when we saw you in November! I'm sure Tommy keeps expecting you to be there when we get to the summit because I keep seeing him licking his lips expecting a treat or two to come out of someone's pockets!

@@petersack5074 Totally agree. What goes up must come down, what goes around comes around. Some animals & plants belong in certain environments whilst people just visit & then go back to where they belong after visiting.

@in3s.x The weather here is not always great but it's a nice place to live. Tommy (Collie) loves it here & if it's good enough for him it's good enough for me!

@@RobbieCec I'm not surprised! If going down & the rock's damp it's best to crawl on your bum sometimes in some of the spots there!

@LonscalePike absolutely but this lad had cracked and was retracing his steps on a calm day. We offered to walk him on as he was so close to 'safe ground' but he just couldn't go any further.

@RobbieCec I suppose it's best to try and stay calm & always remember that even when it's dry it is a dangerous place to lose concentration & take a slip.

@@stevesproul1627 It depends on what the weather is like when you do it as to whether you'll like it. It's not nice when the rock is damp as it is slate and becomes very slippery. On a dry day you'll enjoy it I'm sure!

@@EarthWatcher736 I know, damp, fog, etc, back to normal! There was a bit of snow when we came down.

@@EarthWatcher736 He's not a fan of staying still for photos & clips, Collies prefer to be on the go! I tried to record earlier but the camera's battery wasn't strong enough.

@@EarthWatcher736 It was horrible getting to the ridge. The snow was thawing and became a sea of slush that completely saturated the inside of my boots! There was no escape from it!

@@julesvis Do you remember when I told you it covered my face on the ridge once! Well, I had it on & just about remembered to take it off on the ridge & the wind nearly blew off the hat that I had on underneath! The snow low down was so slushy & completely saturated the inside of my boots!

@@bleat222 Thank You. At least the wind seemed not so bad. Have to admit that my old camera can't hold the charge anymore & the battery goes flat after 30 seconds or so!

@ A GoPro would be ideal for this, Andrew. With maybe a wrist or chest harness. Keep your hands free.

@bleat222 Thanks for that, I'll look into it & do a search! It's amazing the camera has lasted so long, the first clip I took on it was over 10 years ago but unfortunately now it doesn't charge up anyone once the battery is flat.

@@EarthWatcher736 Yes, and still that bitter northerly wind that tingles my finger tips! I think the camera is about to conk out soon also!

@@EarthWatcher736 I ain't got any of them, just a few pairs of old knackered boots that let in the wet especially in the snow! I suppose it's one of the reasons why I'm not the snow's biggest fan! Surprisingly thought this is the same camera that I still use! I'm not sure how long it will last though because sometimes the battery is too flat to record!

@@EarthWatcher736 It depends on if we've enough time, etc. I'm not a big fan of snow but have to admit that most times it's easier to get over the ridge in snow (not slushy snow) than it is in these recent damp, slippy autumn conditions. Yes it's a shame we had hoped to get some views but not to be on this occasion I have been lucky on some others though this year I got a great cloud inversion and a brocken spectre on red screes in March which was amazing

@stephenhiggins8821 There's been about a week of fog now! I think from this Monday it's gonna get better.

@stephenhiggins8821 Just had a look at the clip of Mac, he's a beauty & looks so happy! I know some of those places, we're lucky to have access to such a beautiful place even if sometimes it just seems to always p*ss it down!

@@josetrigueiro5978 Thank You. I know what you mean! I have to admit it's always been slippery but it seems to be even more so now due to more erosion. Tommy (the Collie) doesn't seem to mind if it's slippery, sunny, windy, etc as long as he's outside!
