I'll be using a S700 long after being spoiled by the D606. Shienko can't be more vibration than Dunlop on highways. Just like the larger knobby can do what a smaller can't. Did you want this topped by vanilla frosting or pickles ?

Thank you for the video, bought one in june last year, i checked today the mileage, 38 600 kms, i ride hard and tap it seriously, everyday, every week end.. love that bike and lifestyle with it, i use Motul 5100 and change every 4000 kms, it definitly improve the smoothness and vibration, but more important, that s it, beside tyres and a back bulb, and of course seal fork, ( once) that bike is reliable and really really good fun. Really good transport.

Same thing just happened to me on my Honda 919 drain bolt during a n oil change... Already had bought 2 Honda OEM bolts years back. Never going to use those type of aftermarket again either... Haven't removed mine yet... Only idea I have is to lay the bike on its side and try my screw extractors. May have to make a trip to get more 5 gal gas canisters if I need to drain the fuel first.

Unfortunately due to covid my 250L has been sitting in the country where we normally live. Be back soon but it will have been 12 months sitting there with the same fuel in it. Is this likely to cause a problem?

Mine is on a rear spool stand. If I can't ride it once a week. I start it and let it warm up for 5 mins. I'll do that once a week til the fuel is out. Then replace.

I have a sad CRF250L story and would appreciate your advice/feedback. I am an Aussie based in Phuket Thailand, we ride very tight single track in the jungles/mountains, my main bike is a KTM 525 EXC specially setup for single track I also have (had) a CRF2050L with Takegawa 305 BB kit, EJK controller, Yoshi (clone) pipe, YSS suspension mods and Renthal bars.. its went like a rocket, ran perfect ridden hard offroad as was my backup bike, and also for short adventure rides, .. THEN DISASTER .. a few weeks before i burnt the clutch plates stuck in mud, a new mechanic replaced clutch plates, oil change etc .. the THEN in the first easy 20 mins it blew to pieces at just 120km cruising on the road - TOTAL destruction - pieces of metal blew out the top of the crankcase (scary), smashed the starter, and fragments hit my budy in his helmet 10m away, very scary! The pulldown revealed the worst news - full rebuild needed - 2 crank cases, cylinder , head, , valves, piston kit, etc (I can post pix link if anyone interested). Made no sense, its was an awesome engine, ridden hard offroad with zero problems, until then... makes me wonder if something done when last worked on caused it as seems big coincidence! Anyway i dont want to go back to a stock 250 as I liked the 50% more power it had (my other bike is a KTM 525 EXC), I dont want to do the BB or Takagawa kits as I prefer to keep all Honda parts as when on adventure rides all over SE Asia, will be easy to get parts. SO .. I am trying to decide between a rebuild using CBR 300 parts, or a full CRB300 engine transplant, or another that fits fairly easily. As I live in Thailand the CRF parts are cheap as they all made here, so thats a plus. Can you offer your thoughts? Anyone else done similar?
