It's good to see older cars getting some love. That will come up a treat. My 22-year-old nephew got his dream car at 18 it's an 180sx Nissan it's probably worth 90 to 100 grand now. 2 weeks ago, he went and got himself an R32 Skyline he is starting on now.
What's with people 20 years ago and abandoning FCs? My first FC was a barn find that was abandoned in 2001, and my current one that I'm close to getting drivable was (supposedly) abandoned in 2002 A guy I saw in Germany bought an FC Turbo that was sitting for 17 years too
Guess it's true what they say, leave junk in your yard long enough eventually someone will want it
Just saved an 87 NA from the salvage yard. Hoping I didn’t make a mistake, everything is complete on it engine and interior wise for the most part. It’s just been sitting since I believe 06/07. Got power to the car not a ton of the electrical stuff works but it cranks good. Have to go through the fuel system before I can start it. Videos like these give me motivation to keep going.

@@QualityKills98she’s giving me some trouble haha! But hopefully the video comes out soon. Turn key and nothing happens. Did starter. 80amp fuse, checked the main relay was good. Gunna just keep chasing haha 😆 😅

funny enough i just bought a 87 rx7 a couple days ago, been sitting for 5 years. I got it home and started working on it ASAP, already had it running off a bottle so i put a pump in it and it wont start on its own yet unfortunately. excited to see you get it running!!

Mine won’t seem to engage the starter at all!? So just trying to chase down its issue
I’ve just found one too. UK stood for 23 years. Engine looked similar, very crusty. Rust holes underneath. Got it started after cleaning injectors and a service. Good luck.
I have found a few to. No rust. Super nice TII vert, but after a few weeks fun the typical water seal failure. The NA cope is ok.

Nah, if this guy puts his heart and wallet into it, he will have a great ride at the end of all this. If you've seen juiceboxforyou's AE86 restoration project, it sat in a Irish field for well over a decade, rust everywhere, but it was brought back in less than 6 years, minimal rust, replaced arches, everything. I don't know Kyle, I just stumbled upon his video, but I have faith he will get it cleaned up nicely, considering he has tried for the past 22 years to buy it from the owner.
I have no idea about the regulations over there. I'm sure it will drive in a few months. But over here, oldtimers have an MOT every 2 years. If they see rustholes you can forget it. I don't think or friend really cares 😊
It don’t take much when you are handy with cars and can do a lot of stuff yourself. But it’s the tricks you can learn from the old timers that are the most valuable. People that use to wreck these things every weekend then work through the week night to do it all again.

I love this! Nothing but beautiful rotary sounds! I have an FB I take on similar roads all the time. I live in a great place for this kinda driving and I love it 😊.
You can hear the difference in the cylinder (and rotary lol) compression/displacement/rpm redline in the idles alone. Two very different philosophies to make horsepower.

In 2004 I was buying my first car, my choices were a RX7 FC, or a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I chose the Eclipse because I wasn't familiar with Mazda's, but I always wonder what if.. Edit: Awesome video btw, subscribed 👍
Thank you! Took it nice and easy, still working in the new clutch, She’s a ripper! Had a 88 convertible, back in fl, sold it and they tore it apart! Rotary Engine went into a truck. That broke my heart lol Finally this one came up in rough shape and I’ve been bringing her back to life! Braaap
Been a few months! It’s working well! Runs drive great still. Seems like a solid clutch. MAX CLUTCH!
How the pedal feel with that brand same like oem or harder?
Works good so far! Still testing has a pretty soft pedal but I want to bleed it again. Was cheap eBay clutch kit.
