I miss those summer camps. Hilton Head and Savannah. The first one had the best weather. I was in 8th grade. 82/83. Wet gi filled with sand. I think the last one I went to was in Hilton Head. Unfortunately, it rained and we ended up inside. The convoys on the way down were the best. Good memories.

My journey with Taido began at Taido tournament I watched sometime in the early 80s. I was maybe 14 or 15 at the time. Uchida Sensei, Yamachi Sensei, Onoko Sensei, etc. were all in their prime. I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.
