Sometimes I am glad to be only be in VEX. This is one of those times. Cannot imagine going up against you
What a great run you guys have had!
Nice
could you please send the robot cad?
I would love to see an up close of how you guys make sure the pixels are in the right place with the intake in auto when picking from the stacks.
Great robot can you guys give the Cad?
i was screaming and crying and then i saw solo driver and that was it
LETS GO TOBORTECH
THIS IS CRAZY
yall could prolly pull of a 2 + 6
what slides do you guys use for the extendo
They’re bwt but don’t know length probs the 300
@@Quincypoo11 bwt?
@@d1joshy The slides are BWT Link slides made by a small company in Washington. They are similar to misumis but take less space.
@@markwilliamsftc8610 are they available for someone in michigan?
the custom auton is cool. would it be possible for you guys to show the code?
vow grreat
yo what is limit switch asisted delivery?
10k yayayayayayaya
Really clean and well executed bot guys, super light looking deposit you've got there
Thanks!
Coz moving is for loosers, right????
Very fast at hanging ngl
TOBOR ON TOP😍

How much points do you guys get in game on average
Our max solo is about 248 as shown in the video, and the average score of our 4 elim matches at states last weekend was 261
Can you please explain to me how your climbing works (like how it opens and how the top part of it won't make the robot flip)
The hang is a hook with a little bit of a ramp on the top of it. As we run into the bar we trade our velocity for a tiny bit of height so we can latch onto our hook. It's hard to see but there's a nylon cord that runs from the base to the hook that forms a triangle supporting the back side of the robot. This allows us to latch in and balance without putting any pressure on our servo. The entire hang mechanism is lifted by only one GoBilda servo with a linkage. We have an axle that runs through the front joining both arms together. We're planning to put out a robot explanation at some point soon so stay tuned and it'll be covered in more depth there!
I would also really like to know what's your ramp degree and length because I already tried a design like this on our robot and we had an issue when testing it because the robot started flipping when the degree was too high or when it was too long it just fell off the hook thank you in advance @@markwilliamsftc8610
@@AvivChiprut I wish I could give you exact dimensions but the reality is that it really is going to depend on your robot's weight and the speed you put into it. The really important part about a reliable passive hang is that you don't try to go up too much. We float about an inch or so above the ground which counts but if you try and jump up too much (with too long and steep of a ramp) then it can be tough to make it up the hang. Another important key when working on the passive hang is ensuring that the hook is above the center of mass on your robot. I assume you tested that out but we had to adjust our hang slightly throughout the season when our center of balance changed. As for the angle of the hang, the more shallow the easier it is to get up and the better tuned the height is to the bar the better (if your hook it too high you obviously won't hang (and this typically causes flipping) but if it's too low you'll get caught and won't make it up). Also consider how the length and width of your wheelbase will affect stability when you hang (we are 16" on wheelbase) but if you are 12" or even 13" you might be more prone to flipping. Just ensure that your hang is centered and your ramp angle isn't too high. Hopefully that can help the flipping issue and the actual climb. As for ramp length it really depends again. Our hooks used to be longer (but we had to fit within 18" for init, you'll actually see us raise it up for auto initialization). You can theoretically hang with an extraordinarily short hook and honestly you should design and tune it for a pretty short length as that's quicker and more efficient on the actual hang. The excess hook is for when field tolerances are a bit high or anything that makes the hook bounce slightly. Also consider that if you weigh about 25lbs or less then a powered hang is still a great reliable option as long as you are running viper slides (would not recommend doing a pull up with BWTs). I saw 11703 at States hang within 2 seconds on a powered hang (fantastic robot in general and what I would encourage most teams to go for).
Thank You so much for the help I would try it out@@markwilliamsftc8610
hank is wild
Great match
Right back at you guys!
WE UP
YES SIR
I was at the competition with my team and the robot is really cool. Like the way it extends is super cool, it's also pretty fast. Congrats on getting really far! Your team is one of my favorites out of all the other robots.
Thank you so much, we appreciate it!
Awesome robot! how did you get your scoring mechanics suspended so it compresses off the backdrop?
Our delivery slides are mounted to a worm gear so they can tilt. This has the added bonus of having slop so it can tilt up slightly when pushing into the backdrop.
cool robot i wish i could drive it 😎
Lucky day, your wish is granted
I agree with the other guy, please do a detailed description of everything about your robot including the challenges you faced
Getting that to you soon!
Fantastic.
Thanks!
Also can we get an explanation video on how this works plz!?
We’re working on one after states is over
@@ianhsieh2562 k
Best robot ive seen all year This is really saying something as ive been at events with robodux and cybugs (and even got to drive with cybugs)
We are honored, thank you!
I swear FTC bots are more complicated than FRC bots
Haha, both have unique challenges and styles!
FTC's smaller size and less ramming play encourages more extending designs which is something i really like about it
@@pinesapp its also just illegal to extend like this in frc, the limit is 12 inches this year
@@lzrstar3574 oh wow i didn't know that
Agreed, but frc has some other limitations on the extensive capabilities of their robots, as well as more powerful electrical components that allow the robots to go very fast.
we have tabor
Yes we do :)
What slides are you guys using? I don’t believe I’ve seen that brand before
We use BWTLink slides
@@ToborTech8610 are bwt link slides supposed to have a lot of friction? for us it does
@@ishaanvarma3907did you take out the machining grease? That stuff does numbers, you can clean it with some iso and then regrease it normally
Yes. We wipe it clean and apply the Lithium grease
@@ishaanvarma3907Mark (8610) Even with greasing we found the slides to have some friction. Our prior iteration was about 3x heavier so we simplified from 2 stacks of 6 stages to 1 stack of 4 and the friction was gone. Misumis are far better at handling high loads but we just didn't have space.
As a vex guy. This is wild
As an ftc guy, this is wild
@@pelxo7142 lmao
I’m still relatively new to ftc, but even the robot that I thought was insane (technova) is nothing compared to this
As a vex guy, I'd think this bot would suck because it's too complicated, but it's not vex so it's probably good.
@@merpcat3497 generally the problem with complicated robots in ftc tends to be transfer issues, which you can normally iron out with a month or 2 of drive practice and programming assistance. most overcomplicated ftc robots tend to do very well with enough drive practice, but thats moreso survivorship bias because ftc is inherently harder due to the difficult nature of manufacturing your own design entirely
Good luck at oregon state! Hope to see you guys at worlds
Thank you!!
We are coming to Houston!!🎉🎉🎉
