@@youngfarmerKenya yes, it's highly nutritious as a human food source. And less of it is wasted as it doesn't have to go towards building bones, feathers, etc that are not consumed.

You can dry azolla under shade and either apply it directly on the planting hole or make azolla compost

It would still work but you would have challenges during harvesting as most of it will still float on top ... and also the absorption of cowdung in slurry form is better

Do you feed any fertilizer? Does it prefer direct sunlight or in the shade it grows ?

No i dont use fertilizer... i use cow dung alone... azolla requires partial sunlight for maximum growth
