Kiss your stone good by, after not using fabric, after one or two yrs. My best guess is that you did not put down 6 plus inches of base., 2 1/2" plus or minus and use fines to pact every thing together.
Yanmar doesnt make any fluids, they cant deny claims as long as any fluids used are to spec, which should be listed in owners manual, all their fluids are rebranded. Same with the filters, you can also pop into a NAPA if you have one around and they will cross reference the filters for you and let you know all the ones you can use
Yeah and as far as hydro fluid goes, the first time you attach another implement to the hydro system on the tractor and grab that lever your fluid is now mixed with whatever was in the hoses and cylinders
Good review, im gona buy one soon.
Dude this video is so boring difficult to keep the audience engaged 😢
News to him..... he didn't find a good contractor. If a contractor builds a terrible house, then he's a terrible contractor. But to be so lazy that you cannot clean a few filters 4 times a year is a new level of worthless LMAO.
Spray foam under your roof deck will rot it out in no time. No way for the roof deck to dry out if it gets moisture on it.
I dont get what the problem is, you can open it without tools right? So everytime you vacuum upstairs, just clean it a little bit. Looks so easy, shouldt be more than a minute. Imagine all that junk getting in your house all the time instead. I'll take one, looks like a great unit.
All that was needed was a fresh air intake with a make up air intake for his exhaust. Spray foam is a superior product but does need additional considerations for fresh air intakes. Obviously, his builder wasn't up to par with building with spray foam.
Just an thot. Order a new pump , take the new parts out of the new pump and replace the old parts with the new ones, return the new pump with the old internal parts to Amazon. Win win
Don't spray this in your home!! Between wood rot, termites, mold etc it will be a nightmare.
It is way easier to change the sensor. If you take off the driver side front tire once you take the tire off, you can reach the temperature sensor and you have plenty of room with your arm to remove it.
What helped me upfront was to know that the temperature sensor is located between the two pipes and there is a little heat shield that you have to move back over the wire also I was having a hard time taking the electrical clip off because the disconnector is on the very bottom so if you’re doing this from the top, it may be hard to feel for it
How can anyone be dumb enough to do this to their house? The risk of moisture being the foam and rotting everything out is just too great. Some people just have more money than sense.
Wow this video has sold me on closed cell insulation foam. This gentleman Im confident will be ok with making adjustments to alow the necessary air flow to where he wont even need fans to allow proper pressure because if you still have to use fans to exit warm air then your wasting electricity or any excess energy needed operate the fans therefore wasted money.the only fan needed is for the hood when cooking Christmas dinners. You have a nice house and have good taste. Trust in the Lord and you'll get more blessings to come. I just wory what unforseen conditions that might be dangerous if a tornado, hurricane, bomb cyclone were to give his home both barrels. Im just being morbidly curious but would that type of enclosure be more deadly from having an explosion like a hand grenade or thermobaric FAB device were to go off would the concussion effect manify kinetic energy with only window and doors blowing out easily. I bet he gets good protection from aggressive zombie attacts. Im talking (Day of the Dead/ 28 days later) type zombies. Just dont let any skunk apes get inside the stench will nerver leave, One got into my Aunts garage down in More Haven, Florida back in 83 and the smell was still going strong in 2022. My aunt said it attracts other skunk apes and they use demonic magic. Wooping cranes help deter quaches and skunk ape encroachment.
If his fire place had outside combustion air like it is supposed to it would vent correctly and quit sending the heated air up the chimney. The rest of his rambling suffers similar flaws & just shows how little he actually understands. Please note that I also don't like spray foam but for much different reasons.
Huge help, thank you!!!
lol randomly 2:18 I bet it has something to do with a window or a door being open somewhere else in the house and then being closed and that's probably when the smoke starts to roll out of your fireplace into your house
#1, looks like your water pressure sucks. #2, where the leak is, tighten the black piece of the quick connect into the green piece and leak will stop.
The brick masons who put in my fireplace installed an air intake at the front of the hearth.
I don't understand these videos, can someone show me a tutorial on how to replace a carburetor on one of these trucks? I literally didn't listen to a single thing you said because I thought you were swapping a carburetor
What’s the size of the bolt on the bracket that you took off in the first part of the video?
Far as I know, intercepting the yellow wire is the best, since it will stop the AC only, which produces the water. Using red, disables the entire system until fixed. If you need heating in the meantime, you're SOL.
I F.. inside your fireplace where fire touches inside top, isn't angled correctly, No fire place will draw very well
Thank you for recording and posting this valuable educational video and your candid experience of using these devices.
Try to install Heat Recovery Ventilator and this probably will solve you air flow problems
YES THERE'S. A DIRECTION FOR THE FILTER. ARROW> POINTS THE DIRECTION IT SHOULD. B. !
Good jobe my friend
I'd rather clean that gunk from a filter, than have that in the house. I don't get your complain. To be fair: you said it yourself, that you get lazy. But seen it another way: somehow the house has to be cleaned. The only difference is that the filter shows you what would be spred (maybe barely noticable) all over your place. I'm more annoyed by the dust I get from outside (big wash saloon with dryers nearby, horrible lot of lint everywhere since they moved in there) due to having to open the windows -- I would mind setting a schedule if that would be the price for a cleaner house.
You could have trim this video to 2 minutes you didn’t have to say the same thing over over over again.
That's why you install a air to air fresh air system.
How can you teach us how to install it ? And be nervous to turn it on😂 you should have confidence on your work, then be surprised if it explodes 😂
Could you not turn the handle 180 degrees to fit it on the housing?
That means the bath fans won’t work. If the bath fans have dampers on them that means they won’t even pull in outside air backwards if it needs to.
Bingo, he said it
Just crack a little window do you need a little fresh air ventilation that comes on an inconspicuous place right above the oven that will draw air in whenever there is a negative. Needs a negative I can’t push what it can’t suck.😮❤
Just crack a little window
Pretty sure your chimney is clogged meaning it needs a cleaning.
you need an air to air heat exchanger so the fans can draw and the fireplace ( as long as properly installed) can then get draft. The fire box works on draft and if it cant draw then it puffs back at you at the slightest pressure above the chimney even a slight puff of wind. NEXT is the moisture..........the air to air heat exchanger will help with that but the big thing is the fans working . In the basement the dehumidifier is good but may be better to seal the concrete as concrete is porous. Make sure your gutters run down grade away from the home and sprinklers are not wetting the immediate area next to the house. I am an old timey wood floor guy that is extremely aware of moisture and the problems it creates . Try the above things and i feel confident that if u have a water tight shell on the home that problems with subside rather quickly ergo a few months. Immediate change in fireplace and fans drawing better will be immediate. Also I heat a couple homes with wood and understand the process. if the draft is not enough then if possible add a section or two to the chimney.
Just had a customer ask for something like this out in the front of their house. They live on a mountainside 😂💀
Will you do it? I wanted to do it to surprise my mom 😂
You're right. ERV/HRV are a total scam. Tiny airflow. Fresh air return makes way more sense with the same in-line plastic core as an ERV, but rigged up to the air handler. It's like 10x the air.
You can use spray foam but just don't do every inch. Walls aren't as much of a heat loss as the ceiling so maybe to ceilings with spray foam and wall with batt. This is what I did and I have no problems. There is such a thing as having your home be too tight. I'm a woman and I know this 😊
Whoever did that spray foam did a horrible job....lol
Unfortunately, i believe you are correct. Condensation on the inside of the foam will tend to rot the wood over time. The foam should encapsulate the roof 2x completely. If it is open cell, it likely needs to be 3x that thick (12" or more depending on the heating zone). Closed cell would lily be above 6".
I live in a tightly sealed house with spray foam insulation in NC. During the summer, running the HVAC blower on low speed between cooling cycles can cause an issue. The HVAC coil remains wet, and running the blower at a low speed evaporates moisture from the coil, raising indoor humidity to 60-70%. I installed an Aprilaire E100V ventilation dehumidifier. It ventilates and, if necessary, dehumidifies the fresh outdoor air. I connected its supply to the HVAC supply plenum so the HVAC blower doesn't need to run.
The whole house dehumidifier that also ventilates sounds like a great idea!
You didn't mention anything about humidity levels, how have those been with your ERV? I battle that in my spray foamed house in Upstate SC. I'm thinking of a whole house dehumidifier with a fresh air intake to improve air quality and decrease humidity levels. I've enjoyed your videos as you've worked though your issues.
We used to have a lot of problems with high humidity. I installed an Aprilaire whole house dehumidifier. It works very well. I think you need a whole house dehumidifier! My ERV does not remove any humidity.
Not sure if my last comment went through but have you thought about installing an ecm motor in your unit? Look up RESCUE EZ16 OAO ECM Direct Drive Blower Motor (115/208-230V, 3/4-1/3 HP, 1075 RPM) Just a thought
Is this for the HVAC unit or the ERV? I want to try and modify my ERV and change some parts and see what happens.
@ it’s a blower motor for your air handler. It’ll be able to ramp up and down. If you want it to it can Run at low speed when the unit satisfies and ramps back up when the unit gets a call for cool/heat
Remember to blink
I can barely remember what I’m talking about when I turn the camera on.
I think you should switch to a fresh air return and remove the ERV. Reinstall bath fans and have make up air supply to ensure they actually clear moisture and smells out of the bath and allow the kitchen vent and Fire place to work
I like this idea. If I had a variable speed air handler I would definitely do it.
I'm with everyone else who says you should've cut the handle, not the beam. Otherwise a great job
The reason why the things like the Bathroom exhaust fan, Hood Vent and fireplace are not drawing air is because you have no air makeup. Adding a powered or passive make up air system can help the fireplace, bath fan and hood draw air properly.
I’m fairly old and this is the first time I’ve ever heard someone say their house is sealed too tight. 🤷♂️
Yes! The notching of the support beam was a brilliant idea. 🎉
