Farcry 2 will always be one of my fav experiences... It would do well with updated tech and visuals. Dark, gritty and nothing too far changed from the original as far as mechanics and gameplay goes and we would be golden. 🔥👊🧡👍🔥

i love far cry 2

ngl far cry 2 is the most underrated game i have play. i have fun time playing with the weapon and fire mechanic and detail are the most coolest thing ever and the jackel are probably the most Interesting and cool character. as well as the multiplayer and map editor which is pretty fun to play around

In my opinion the dragonov rifle is vastly superior to that final one. Much smaller recoil much better for killing multiple enemies in a row

Far cry 2 has replayability because of the 9 different mercenaries. I play each mercenary differently based on the info I can find on them.

Far Cry 2 is the best in the series imo. Blood Dragon is second.

for me far cry 2 is absolutely perfect in terms of gameplay (but if i want to be a james bond wannabe i just mod it) but the story absolutely sucks and feels really empty, the only person i have remembered the name of is kouassi cuz he is super funny and my first buddy paul cuz he a real one and died gracfully. sometimes i just wander around enemy bases and try to sneak or sumthing, its quite fun. but in driving i would say the cars are a bit slow but other than that is still good

I beat FC2 3 times, it's my favourite game ever. After my third play through I decided to start a 2nd play through of fc3 and it was just, boring. I knew everything and knew what was going to happen, the story doesn't fit with me since it's way more Hollywood compared to Fc2, the crafting system is bullshit and other things, the characters are simple and just not that interesting, random love aspects added... People hate on FC4 aswell because it's just "FC3.5", for me FC4 is a better more refined version of FC3 with better features and everything else. Far Cry 2 is very random, every encounter is different, you can approach combat situations however you want, the story is great and realistic, the gunplay is amazing. Only thing I dislike about FC2 is that side missions outside assassinations and destroying weapons shipments are useless.

Despite sheer number of enemy jeeps, and the frequent checkpoints that yield no reward for clearing them out, you find the same players who complain about the difficulty objecting, also, to the amount of driving in the game. Where the disappointing Destiny 1 has many defenders because of the speeder bikes and because light shoots out of the neck of headshot Fallen soldiers, Far Cry 2 has relatively few because of the malaria attacks and the miserable experience of driving along the roads. Far Cry 2 was, and remains because of stagnation and lack of features in FPS games, technically impressive. With interactive environments, dense vegetation that burns realistically, and AI scripted with often strikingly human behaviors and reactions. Most importantly, with none of the genetically-modified laboratory mutants that ruin the original Far Cry once they show up. And complaints about the bleakness of the story, which is set admidst a civil war deep in the heart of Africa, sound like the whining from teenage girls about the ending of Titanic back in 1997. It still looks great, and it's still fun, even wihout the mods. But today, with mods available for the visuals, and mods to change or eliminate the most polarizing aspects of gameplay, there are zero reasons not to check out this game on PC.

I kinda wish Far Cry 2 and 3 have a baby. And that baby is the best Far Cry game ever. As much as i love 2 the animations dated Terribly like a bestheda game. While 3 had the best character arc feeling like you're growing as a person. The only game even close to that was Metro exodus but it felt too short, nor as the animations are as lively as 3 or and the gun jamming isnt varied as 2
