SL40 aside from being hard-mounted and picking up the clicks, actually sounds better than MV7 in my honest opinion. For a personal use microphone, for work calls, or calls with friends / gaming I think fduce is plenty good enough, honestly. Love the comparison, thank you so much for the side by side comparison, really appreciate that! Wonderful overview. For the price, it's definitely good :) especially since it's on sale for black Friday ;)

The point about breathing through… YES! Find this to be rarely mentioned! But it’s projection from acting, from singing and it works so well. Discovered this by chance a week or so ago and it is a game changer for mouth clicks once you’re warmed up, hydrated and all the rest.

I don't understand your pulling-down on the Fduce in the comments. When you put it shoulder-to-shoulder with the MV7 and swapped directly from one to the other, the SL40 totally wiped the floor with the MV7 and the latter is currently 2½ times the price with a lousy quality micro(!)-USB connector too. I also suspect, that if you had been subjected to a blind test between those two, also not knowing which mics were involved, you would objectively have preferred the SL40's sound over the MV7's.

As a person who use sm7b but if i didnt buy it i would 100% buy the fduce sl40

Tbh, when you do this kind of comparison, with that price difference, especially when the fduce is considered a really good option for its price and you try to claim otherwise - mocking its *name* and design choices (which arent "objectively" bad), that much, isnt a thing you wanna do

I bought the YCM-01 as my first "real" microphone and I can't say I'm disappointed, but I also got it for 40 bucks which is a common price at the moment. I'm low key looking for a replacement, but I really can't complain about the bang-for-buck of this one.

You might like the Zoom M3 at the exact same pricepoint. It has 32 bit float so you won't clip. The audio also is also imo much more flattering compared to this mic and its a built-in recorder at the same time.
