I see this was 4 years ago, but I'm new to fundraising. We are a 501c3 and had mainly silent auction items at our trivia. We had raffle on the booze barrel and gift certificates. These did well because we had about 100 people at the event. I believe a raffle is best, but only if you have plenty of people at event. We had a spaghetti dinner with some nice raffle items, but I think we lost on them because not enough people to buy raffle tickets. So, how do I know what to do and when?

WHY DONT YOU SPEAKERS USE A MICROPHONE? You go to the trouble of making the video and don't make sure you are hearable!

What are the best ways to try to keep them engaged? Do I need to do more than keep them on my mailing list and update them about what's going on throughout the year, Or is there any other things that would help to keep them engaged as well?

Hey. I’m a 22 years old university student in Namibian. I don’t have a great life myself but recently while listening the radio I learnt that there’s a school in a part of a region in Namibia where school learniners were forcefully taken from their Parents to go to school. This kids have not attended school because their parents don’t have the funds to even buy them something to wear when they have to go to school.this week are called the Ovahimba people in the Southern part of Namibia. They only wear their traditional attire and don’t buy clothes and even if they wanted to buy for the kids especially in wonder they can’t because they don’t have money. I’m urging anyone who can help financially or even just help with clothing, shoes or books and pens please.... if you can help me help this poor community

If I can’t get help to fix my parents situation they will end up in a rest home and I swore I’d never let that happen . It’s breaking my heart to see what’s happening to them and I feel so helpless. I’ve been praying for god to touch someone’s heart that’s able .

I desperately need to know how to get donations. My parents have been married 55 years … their almost 80 and a series of unfortunate events has put them in a terrible situation. They live in a senior park and their mobile home is literally falling apart. Water pipes busting constantly … floors are mushy and falling thru. It’s so unsafe and I’m not in position financially to help and this is a terrible feeling being unable to help them. My dad has macular and going blind. My mom survived 2 heart attacks and breast cancer. So much more to tell but don’t want to overwhelm anyone. I need guidance please on how to get donations . "GETTING OVER THE ASK" So true! I just spoke with a contact at a major corporation and he gave me his email and said that he would forward my Information to the appropriate persons. He followed that with a warning that his company turns down fifty submissions a year. I thanked him and responded with "that's great, I only have to submit 51 times! It's already a no before I ask so what do I have to loose?" He smiled and I immediately started researching videos like this one to make sure that my submission is impactful. Thx

Thank you everyone for commenting. I’ve read all of your comments and you’re right, everyone can be wrong. However my staff and I attend all the large autograph shows where we are on sight while the pieces are being signed. The problem which we are attempting to educate charities is about the charity providers who prey on unsuspecting charities who aren’t as educated as you. You would be amazed how bad the Autograph’s are. They are actually scamming the people who are donating to the charity who are raising money to save children, help veterans along with millions of others. Now for some reason no law enforcement agency wants to anything about it. They are obvious fakes authenticated by shell companies. Our items also come with an untouched, non photoshopped photo of the item being signed.

This is a good video for people buying random signatures, with Zero Knowledge. I’ve collected & studied signatures for 30+ years & have Zero Hesitation buying what I know if authentic. PS- I don’t deal in Any Sports.
