In The Clouds | an Oregon travel film
มุมมอง 172ปีที่แล้ว
In this video my family and I travel from our home state of UT to oceanside Oregon where we stay in a vacation home right by the beach for 5 days. We explore different beaches and points of interest like the town of Tillamook which is home to an old air museum and the famous Tillamook creamery. I also fly fish for Stealhead and chinook salmon on the Wilson river.

Yyyyyyeeeewwwwwww live it up boys looked beautiful down ur way.
Yo I’m in the loge right now want to meet up
I’m not up there anymore. Hope you’re sheddin tho!
@ YESIR every chance i get
Looks stressful but fun.
First time back on the board was definitely a bit stressful 😅
Nice
Yeah buddy!
For those who don’t want to watch the 12 minute video, it broke after the cliff drop, but survived a lot of other harsh drops before that. I have never broken my 32oz or 48oz nalgene they are extremely tough
Does the women’s pack have all the same features?
Yes, the woman’s version has all the same features.
Booooooo
If you contact them they’ll replace it via warranty. You could do a follow up vid in reference. I don’t think there is a better way to help promote their product.
Seriously impressive commitment to craft (your b-roll alone, holy cow). I'm an Oregonian, and my sister actually lived there in Tillamook for a number of years. You captured the beauty of the rain and fog very well, and the glory when it resolves into a beautiful blue afternoon. And that newt...I remember catching so many of that exact kind, at summer camp as a boy. Blessings to you and yours.
Hey thank you, I really appreciate that 🙏🏼 that place is so beautiful! I need to make a trip back.
Can you offer a detailed list of what you carry to get it to 50+ pounds? Thanks for the review... I plan to ruck 100 miles soon with this pack or the 45...
Hi! Can you share your current opinion about this pack, please?
Absolutely! I’ve been running this pack for a year now and I still love it. As long as you don’t exceed the weight limit it’s the most comfortable pack I’ve personally ever owned. It as more space than most people need. One of my favorite features is the detachable bag on the top that turns into a fanny pack. It’s also extremely durable while being light weight.
@@WesWright-xl2rr Thank you a lot! Trying to choose between this and Gregory Baltoro
You bet! I hope this helps.
I’ve been using Nalgene products for 30ish years and always come back to them. The cap size and threads are used by many other companies like hydroflask so you can use a variety of caps.
It’s my go to for sure! Great water bottle.
Great recording, I can truly see the quality and hard work you put into this! :)
Thank you 🙏🏼
It’s so beautiful!!
Just subscribed and saw it's been 6 months six the last video. Keep em coming man these are great!
Hey, thanks I really appreciate that! Been super busy but I’ll get some more videos going soon.
Ah that’s fair enough! I was just worried you might have given up with the channel. Honestly your production value is up there with some of the best I’ve seen on TH-cam. You’re very chill to watch & your dog Jax is awesome! Looking forward to what you come out with next!
@@shred3289 Well thank you! I really do appreciate that. It gives me motivation to keep doing it when I read comments like this.
So beautiful
Heck yea
Smartwater bottle for the weight win.
Great review man! Just picked up the Bridger 65 myself, amazing bag! but feels like overkill on the size, as i only do 2-3day trips typically
Thank you! 🙏🏼 you’ll be thankful for the extra space if you ever need it.
I have a cap that makes mine a bong also😂life’s great
Awesome location! Gotta love the clear water and scenery 😊❤
The burden we bear....I too tend to carry a bit of weight and I'm looking for a pack that can comfortably handle it. This pack thus far seems to be the best option. If it can handle a 55-60lb load for you then it should handle the 40-45 I typically carry... And might I add this pack looks freaking great....love the color
It’s because it’s tritan plastic. Any water bottle with this plastic is the same.
Needed this video today. Not sure how I missed it when it was uploaded. Great family Wes!
Thanks Eric I’m glad you enjoyed it!
hey from what i see it looks like the actual bottle did survive but the flimsy lid didn’t and u can j buy a new lid from their website so i don’t think of that as a fail
The threaded mouthpiece on the bottle chipped and broke. Still super impressive
When's the next video?
Not sure. Been super busy lately but I’d love to get back out there.
It works well for cold night of camping. Fill up with hot or warm water and bring in into your sleeping bag. If you're worried about water leaking put it in a zip lock bag
That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
Did it break or did the lid just come off?
The threads broke on the bottle. Still super impressed!
Nice video! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
What trekking poles are those?
These are just cheap ozark trail polls. I think they cost me 20-30 bucks and they’ve worked great! I have a buddy that got some expensive one around the same time as I got these and he’s been through 2 pairs already.
Just ordered one of these and a baltoro 65. Going to see which I prefer. I am also a photographer and done spending $400-$500 on camera bags that are not adjustable and have a baby waist belt.
so after some use of both which did you end up linking more?
This is amazing Wes!!!!
Thanks April!
Love it!
Wes~Superr-epic !goodbye- 🤗
Hey thanks for watching!
Your scenery is always spectacular 🤩
Thanks! I try haha
@@WesWright-xl2rr Makes you watch all the way to the end! Can't turn it off LOL
Thank you Wes for making the sacrifice to do this test. (RIP Nalgene bottle.) Guess it's all in the name of science LOL. Seriously, though, your video and the scenery is so fun to watch! We're awestruck! 🤩
It had to be done🤣 thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch 🙏🏼
@@WesWright-xl2rrTritan plastic bruz get onto it.camelbak the same plastic
Makes us want to go fishing! 🐠 Not to catch any, just to watch!
If it was empty, it probably survived the drop! 😅
It was full of water. You gotta go watch the full video to see what happened😉
Gosh, totally missed the full video -- just watched it now and -- wow, utterly amazing. Thanks for making it!
@@WesWright-xl2rr I just watched now but it ended when you threw the bottle. Where can I see full vdo? Sorry for my lack of new knowledge.
Great video mate!
I appreciate that man. Thanks for watching!
Good video man with some awesome edits! Keep it up! 🎣
Thanks Justin!!!
Really cool video. Keep making this sort of content.
Love the feedback. Thanks for watching!
Great video before I go to bed. Nice and relaxing.
I’m glad you enjoyed it buddy! Thanks for watching.
I want to see more of this stuff, all hunting, and shed hunting. Let's plan a day trip here soon buddy 😁
Let’s plan something soon buddy!
Such a great video Wes. I love how beautifully you created this video with all the different views and perspectives of the mountain. Thanks for sharing with all of us it seems like I was there! Cool to see you and your dad bonding, and the story of your grandpa. I'm sure he was there with you guys. Congratulations on an amazing video !
Hey thanks brother! I’m really glad you enjoyed it👊🏼
Great video Wes! Looks like a great trip with your dad! Also seems your Grandpa brought you some luck on that beauty at the end there. Keep it up!👊🏼
Hey thanks man! It was a lot of fun. And I think you’re right my grandpa brought me some luck for sure.
Nice bull 😀
The question is: Is the bottle body or just the lid destroyed. You can buy a spare lid for just a few bucks but anyway I love those bottles I have few of them and use them literally every day besides bike touring + camping.
The only part of the bottle that got destroyed was a chip out of the threaded mouth piece. Even at that I bet a new lid probably would have worked. Crazy strong water bottles. I use mine just about every day too.
Yesssssss
Nalgene bottles are very nice. They’re made of Eastman tritan.
Ohh that’s awesome I didn’t realize that’s what they’re made of. Thanks for sharing!
