Thank you for making these great videos. I’m a kayak fisherman. My first time visiting this lake was on Sunday 6/9/24. I drove 1 hour & 45 minutes from Mansfield to the 897 boat Ramp. I arrived at 7:40 am and was in the water fishing by 8:00 am. The 897 boat ramp gets pretty full as can be expected with a new lake. Since you do guide service on this lake, do you know of any places around the lake where kayakers can easily put into the water as to avoid dealing with the busy boat ramps? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

North Texas Municipal Water District built the lake. The water is pumped to Leonard Water Treatment Plant then pumped to Mckinney where it is sent to NTMWD customer city's.

I’ve never used a drone so forgive my ignorance, but could you not just have run your boat towards the drone? Also in an emergency why not just land it on the bank? Seems like several options other then just letting it sink to the bottom of the lake

Bois d arc is a North Texas Municipal water district lake . Not a Dallas municipal water district . It has a 90” pipeline that runs to McKinney .

We live here and my husband did some of the dirt work down in the bottom of the lake. This is the first time I’ve seen an aerial view and I’m actually really surprised how much timber they left. I know when they were designing the lake they were creating tons of habitat to make this a trophy fishing lake but it just looks like so much of the lake is full of timber.

Was there Wednesday Thursday Friday nice lake wind was terrible 897 ramp has no break from north or north east wind. But hey it was a nice trip anyway.
