Beautiful work. I love it.
We are glad you liked it. Thank you for watching!
The built in walking foot is my favorite thing about a Pfaff. On this machine I love the needle down. If it is engaged it puts the foot up when I stop sewing so I can put my next patch in easily or adjust for curved patchwork. To put the foot down I simply start to sew again. Between the needle down and the thread cutter, paper piecing is so fast and easy.
So creative! I love this!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you for the video on Baby Lock Allegra machine. I am looking for a machine for my daughter. I am trying to decide between this one or the Baby Lock Brilliant. I haven't seen any videos comparing the two machines. Thank you for this demonstration.
You are welcome!
@@PhilsSewingMachines one last question - is this Baby Lock machine the "higher version" of the Baby Lock Jazz machine? Thank you for your time.
@@velvetstitching3631 The Baby Lock Allegro is the newest of the machines with the 12” work space. The Baby Lock Brilliant is a very nice machine also. I would suggest that you visit our store or your local Baby Lock store and try each machine.
@@PhilsSewingMachines closest local store to me is 55 miles away. I don't make it there often. But thank you for all your help and especially the detailed video!
You are welcome. Thank you for watching!
Back in 70s, I took a free machine embroidery class and I got a foot similar to do hair. I think I still have the book. It was so much fun. Now I am spoil with the machine embroidery ones.😊
Thanks for sharing!!
I bought this machine at a show. It's on order! So excited. Thank you for all the info while unboxing. I will look for your getting started video next. Thank you!
Hope you enjoy it!
Wonderful technique! Thank you for making it so clear! ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
I bought the kimber bell disk set …where do you get the pattern to make these little Guys
We have sold out of this pattern. You may need to do an online search to find a store that still has it in stock.
Does Babylock have a version for the MacBook Air?
It is only available for Windows based computers- 8.1, 10 (32 or 64 bit).
I love my Allegro, to bad it does not cut the thread every single time. The thread seems to get caught some how I end up cutting the thread with scissors at the bobbin after removing the bobbin cover. Other wise the machine runs perfectly.
We would suggest taking your machine to an Authorized Baby Lock retailer, preferably where you purchased it. They should be able to correct your issue with the thread cutter.
I think I will buy one of these machines on Monday when the local sewing store opens. I am impressed with the machine.
Great teacher very knowledgeable! Just ordered mine ! Currently have a Janome that is 15 years old works like a power horse but without all of the new upgrades so I think it’s about time I treat myself! And no I will not trade my Janome in! It will always be a backup!
Great tutorial
Thank you! We are glad you liked it.
did you use batting and stablizer?
Just batting was used. Thank you for watching.
This needs to be an android app
Hi Diane. Your presentation showing how to isolate the fringe flower without stitching out the entire design was fantastic. It provided a unique way to isolate the item you wanted and how to duplicate it to the desired amount. I am one of many that do not live near a Pfaff dealer. I have to drive four- and one-half hours to get to Annapolis Maryland, my excellent dealer. They make you feel like family. Much like what you must do at your store. Please provide more videos on the Icon 2 per month since you are so good about explaining things. Thank you for taking time to educate all that embroidery via machine. Bless you. Lorrie
We are glad you liked the video. Thank you for watching!
I think you are a terrific teacher! Please continue to create more videos! Would you consider making any projects for us to learn from?
Would macrame rope be good to use on the rope coaster
You could certainly try it. It may work fine.
You did a great job teaching us. Where can I find the rope on wholesales price?
Great videos! I have this machine & love it. However...I love decorative stitches and try to use them on my quilting projects and have mixed results with the quality. The stitches like to either bunch up or spread out. Not a lot of consistency. It's almost like sometimes the machine gets"tired" of the stitch & loses concentration.
Awesome videos, super helpful for someone new to babylock and the allegro!
Both of your allegro videos are wonderful! I just bought the machine and learned so much watching!
Amazing!! Could make more tutorial like this? Have you ever try it to work with chenille yarn???😊❤🇨🇦
Thank you for your suggestion. I have not tried chenille yarn, that sounds interesting.
Just purchased a Pfaff qe 720 at a quilt store 90 miles away. They showed it all to me and told me to come back with questions, come and sew, etc. Many thanks for your video...not the same when you're home alone. You make it where I'll know enough to ask questions! Bless you!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
does this work on a apple macbook?
It is only available for Windows based computers- 8.1, 10 (32 or 64 bit).
I downloaded the design too. But I had to reduce the 6x10 to fit my viking designer1 6x10 hoop! It was not easy at first but I finally figured out how to get it to my size. Still have not stitched it out.
Here it is 2024 and I’m about to embark on this pattern purchased thru SweetPea for a Valentine table runner. It’s a sew along and we are going to to use a cutting machine to cut out our appliqués. Thanks for your help in showing the different ideas in design and fabric . 😊
You are welcome, have fun!
I bought this machine about 7 months ago... when I took it out of the box and tried to use it for basic embroidery - I realized how complicated these machines are - but I was tired of paying big bucks for all the embroidery jobs I was doing... Now, with this and a few other helpful videos I'm starting to get more comfortable with this machine and will soon be doing the small embroidery jobs I need - on my own machine. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Great instructions, thanks.

Excellent tutorial!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on making rope bowls.
You are so welcome. Thank you for watching!
I can’t see stitches. This has probably been sold but I am looking for Saprano now.
Thank you! I learned a lot!
You are welcome! We are glad it was helpful.
Fantastico
Glad you liked it!
There has to be easier faster way to do this? Maybe on software or on Icon 2?
For this project the focus was really more about learning the Sequence Creator on the Pfaff creative icon 2. The repeated steps allows you to learn and remember the steps while creating the Cute Needle Case.
Just found your channel. Love all your project. Just join and hope to see more ideas for project.😊
Awesome! Thank you!
I didn’t hear you comment on this but did you need to raise the needle height to embroider?
You do not adjust the needle height, but you will need to adjust the embroidery foot height to hover just above the rope. Also you will want to slow your machine down. You can see these tips in the video at approximately 43:16 thru 44:05.
Where can I find this software? I cannot locate it on the Babylock website. Bought a machine for this feature. Not happy!
Baby Lock has recently been updating their website so some items may have moved. Please click the link below this will take you to the Baby Lock Software Updates page. You will see numerous Palette updates followed by the Pro-Stitcher update. Continue to scroll down the page the next one will be the Design Database Transfer Software. When you click the “GET UPDATES” under DESIGN DATABASE TRANSFER it will download the Design Database Transfer Software and Instructions to your downloads folder or wherever you have your downloads directed in a Zip file. babylock.com/software-support-and-downloads
thank you so much!!, it was difficult to find this information otherwise. Greatly appreciated!
You are welcome! Glad you found the video helpful.
Does this model have the serpentine stitch (wave stitch) for quilting?
The Allegro has a variety of stitches with the Serpentine stitch and an added design in between. The width of the stitch is 7mm. We have added the stitch charts for the Allegro to our website. The Serpentine stitches are found on stitch numbers 070 thru 079. Click the link below to view the the Allegro and the stitch charts. philsew.mybigcommerce.com/machines/allegro-blmag/
It does NOT have the simple serpentine stitch.
I appreciate your thorough, detailed directions! Thank you for your video!
You are so welcome!
Thank you! Very informative!
You are welcome!
Thank you for this video. It was so easy to follow along with you, even though I have the Icon 1. Just had to find the steps in different places and didn't have as many options as on the 2. Loved that you used so many different fonts. I noticed you were using a pencil-tip stylus. Would it work on my Icon 1? Do you sell them?
Glad the video was helpful for you. The stylus was just one we acquired, not sure of the source. Most likely it would work on a Pfaff icon 1, but we don’t have one to actually test and know for sure. Thank you for watching the video!
This is a great video. I sew a lot of fleece material. Will this machine sew fleece fabric?
Yes, it will sew fleece fabric.
@PhilsSewingMachines Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
You are welcome!
