Everything you seem to be saying about the RF 70-200 makes me to cackle 😂
I've payed less than 400€ for a mint copy with tripod collar, lens hood and the leather lens case. Absolute steal and it's coming with me on the next Japan vacation :-)
YES!!!
Do you think it is a good idea to buy the EF 50mm 1.2 in 2024?
For how much in USD?
@@DevynFromCFXTV 500usd
@@DevynFromCFXTV 500 usd
@@danygarciaflores5260 It's an okay option in my opinion. If you have a high MP body, I wouldn't because it will reveal lots of image issues. If I had a 24 MP body FF then yes. I wouldn't try this with a new crop frame at all.
I'd go 3rd party. The sigma Art 50 1.4 is awesome for 500 or less. you only loose a 1/3rd of a stop of light, where as the cheap readily available 1.8 50mm lenses are quite darker and not good build
The reason you cannot push it down and it's stiff to push,is because theirs a spring at the bottom of the pole on the inside to stop it just dropping if it not tightened up properly which stops your exspensive equipment from getting buggered or damaged.
The 80-200 pictures look better in my opinion just overall looks
I was just in the rain with it. No issues
@@DevynFromCFXTV that’s awesome thinking about picking one up for a Yellowstone trip over Christmas because I picked up a 5diii for 150$ and need a cheap lens that I wouldn’t care if it got destroyed
@@illegalmindset4122 I love it for small quirks its awesome!!
They probably fixed the rusting problem, cause I own a bunch of Neewer full metal stands (both C stands and Spreader stands) and there is no sign of rush anywhere on them. Still the very best stands you can get for the price.. absolutely no doubt about that
I'll need to check them out
Is it possible to switch out the tires or turn it into a sled?
Not sure to be honest
I switched from Canon R6 to Sony A7 IV back in 2023. Of all my Canon lenses I sold, I was like "No fn way! I am keeping the 135L and will adapt it!" and was glad I did. This is one of my favorite lenses even on a Sony camera. Been using this thing since 2010 and love it with all my heart. Its amazing and I do not think anyone needs the RF version or in my case the GM version. For $500 USD how can you beat this lens? YOU CAN NOT!!!!
Yeah, It's a steal. I do like the Sigma 105 1.4, but the market never adjusted for Canon's Sigma glass, the price never went down due to Sigma not making an update
Where to buy the hot shoe?
Oh wow its been a while. eBay maybe. I'm not sure if they are still available
They sound fantastic.
great video...bought one of these 80-200 back in 2008.....its a keeper....while not as contrasty as the newer lenses it definitely draws with a beautiful character to it
Legendary lens. I love it for portraits and actually use it for indoor sports (wrestling) and it works great.
Pentax has had an ISO priority mode on their cameras for over 15 years. It's an interesting mode.
That's so cool... but I can't feasibly do Pentax
I have two of these beauties. One for my Sony and one for my Lumix. They absolutely rock
YES!!
Good stuff. You just helped me make my final decision.
AWESOME!!
I know it’s a couple years old, but I just wanted to thank you for this video! I feel like it perfectly described the steps for me. :)
What do I use for smudges? and does the brush tool touch the lense?
It depends on what is in the smudge. If you have a grease/oils from your skin, in my opinion, use the lens wipes with the solution. Some smudges/ fingerprints with dust or light particles you can use just a microfiber cloth. For example, If a drop of rain gets on your lens and dries, then just use a microfiber. greasy marks and prints will smear, that's why you use the wipes. Dirt and heavy particulates can scratch your lens, so in that case you can use blower to lift it of the lens then clean it with wipes. The recommended cleaning brush used lightly an help get particulates off the lens.
I have this one and Sony one . The reason I have the Sony one is I have Sony camera. I have the EF version that is because I can used it on Fuji GFX that is pretty much like shooting 82mm F1.1. Even on such a large sensor this one more or less holds up well against Fujifilm's own 110mm F2. It also does cover the Fujifilm medium format sensor completely.
Great
Please put smaller text and place it to the side of the image instead of over the image.
Well, at least the rust proves the screws are not made of plastic. One day some noname brand from Ali-express will come up with that too and call it 'innovative material for a freen future and lightweight'
Wow
Thank you for this video
hello, where in the setting is that "monitor + lcd screen mode" please?
(Put your R6II in Video Mode on the upper left hand switch) Once in video mode ~Push Menu Button ~Go to the Red Camera Section ~Go to page 8 ~Click "HDMI Display" ~Then Camera Monitor + External Monitor
In this mode you will not be able to record to SD cards. All visual interaction with the camera is only through HDMI
perfect review, thanks. I will consider this zoom as it goes for like 400€.
I like it! I'm gonna make a video on how to get one
i lov the magic pipe

The tamron sp 45mm F1.8 usd on aps-c from sony was very good sharp with beautiful colours i'm hoping the 85mm is better at least some reviews say it's
Have a T4i I’ve used for years. Just picked up a 7D for $150 still in the box, in mint condition. With my 18-135, and 70-200, my pic have gotten a whole new life
Great video! I'm just doing my research at the moment. I'm considering adding the magmod sphere to my bag. I just feel like if I'm using my EXPlore 600, I need some kind of ocotobox attached to it. Beautiful model, and I also love how you choreographed the video.
Thanks! it was lots of hard work coordinating everything. Where do you use the Xplor 600?
At my home, and on location.
@@4rroby It's a very great flash especially if you can save money and get the manual version
I bought the Pixapro ( UK version of Godox ) 600 manual just before Christmas. Plus now Godox have released a new version 2 of the 600 I guess there should be offers available for the 600 version 1. Wonderful video, lovely model too. I only just got my Magmod XL. Need time to play with it 🙂.
@@neerajberi4943 Nice!!

📷 thanks for the hack!
what is that humming sound (listening to this via wireless headphones)? I think I hear it when you use the NTG
So the NTG-2 is gain hungry. If you have a recorder that doesn't have good pre-amps supplying that gain it can be that. Other than that It may have been the attic fan if I recall
How bad is this for indoor sports? 🤔 I would love a fast indoor shooter for low light but the 1dx is a little pricey!
Great info, thanks. Just so tired of these self-absorbed models. How about choosing a nice natural person, even an old man, a real human being, just s.o. who is not trying to be „sexy“?
I try. Thanks
I love the quality of light you got here. Cool stuff.

Great vid.
Do you have a video on all of your equipment you take on a outside set?
No, should I make a video @BlaquemanMIA?
Tried to hear you out, but you lost me half way in. Just a quick aside. 1. You may have had a bad copy. 2. I'm not sure why the lens looked better at f/2.8 (sharper) than it did at f/4 - that seemed odd, 3. Several incorrect statements back to back at 4:44 seconds - talking about "any prime lenses, typically have a wider aperture (not always), that let more light into the camera (correct), thus giving you better image quality (again, not always as many prime lenses are not as sharp wide open), "expanding your exposure triangle at any given shutter speed and ISO". Say what? Deep breath - 1. You're a nice guy, please do some research. There is no such thing as an exposure triangle in digital photography. I could link lots of videos here on the topic, or you could read Joe Edelman's blog on the review of the term and where it came from and what it was meant to suggest. Call it a photography triangle would be more accurate - even though that isn't exactly correct either. DIGITAL EXPOSURE is created (99 percent of the time) only by the light that enters your camera - and that is only determined by the size of the aperture and shutter speed (See Karl Taylor's description for just one). ISO is simply (almost always) a boost in gain, amplifying the S/N equally - although the engineers sometimes have fancy tricks added in. With ISO invariant sensors, you can shoot a photo underexposed at ISO 100 and bring it up 2 stops to ISO 400 in post and it will look virtually identical to a shot taken at ISO 400. Now, I know what you mean. The only way to improve signal to noise is to add photons of light by slowing the shutter speed down, or opening the aperture - i.e. with a wider aperture, you let in more light at the same shutter speed, and get a greater exposure - good for the shadows, not so much for the highlights as there is already a lot of information there. I own several Tamron lenses for Nikon f-mount. The 35mm f/1.4 was incredibly sharp. I almost purchased the 85mm, but switched to mirrorless. You should try another copy of this lens and see if you get the same results.
Yeah that happens allot with 3rd party lenses. I really wanted this lens to work out. Maybe I'll look into another
Yes I agree! The charts seemed off. 3rd Parties tend to have quality control variations. Tell you what, I feel like that lens needs to be compared to the 85 F/2 RF. I think I will make that video! Thanks for the idea. Hopefully, I get better results out of both lenses.
this lens is pretty darn sharp up to f11 on the Nikon D850 (w/Lens calibration) and crazy sharp on the Z mount... it does have some CA wide open but clears up around F3.5 it so good I sold the Nikon 85mm 1.4g and the Sigma 85mm 1.4 (sigma was sharper but colors and AF were terrible)
Someone told me that I should try another copy. I really want this one to work well lol
Tell you what, I feel like that lens needs to be compared to the 85 F/2 RF. I think I will make that video! Thanks for the idea. Hopefully, I get better results out of both lenses.
@@DevynFromCFXTV BTW: the Nikon 85mm 1.8s blows both Tamron and Sigma out the water. I'm sure you can say the same about the mirrorless Canon 85mm. But all things being real: the Tamron is a great lens and it's really sharp. Good luck retesting
@@LMoProVisualComm Yeah Tamron is! I gotta figure it out, thanks
Thanks for the vid.

Thanks for explaining it.
Thanks for the review! Love the background. Take care, Anna
One suggestion. Embrace higher aperture. You will be pleasantly surprised. When I am at the beach, and the model has her back to the water, I shoot at f/8 and I dont have to be at high speed sync. Everyone tend to shoot wide open all the time.
Right! I actually called her in at golden hour so she wouldn't get too hot and sweaty.... we were running out of light but I did consider this after the fact.
i have a 80-200 new, i buyed in ebay
