its probably better to have the moonpool directly connected to your base. u can add vertical connectors to most regular compartments if you need to. but its possible your moonpool is far enough from your base to not be at the same stacking level and thus u will need to rebuild it or your base in order to connect it. i personally recommend sea bases instead of land bases, as they seem more optimized for sea usage. topedoes are not that deadly or useful as far as i know...didnt bother to use them much. i think u do know where u can get gas pods...u saw them before. why not grow bulbo trees in your habitat? why u use the air pump? its pretty useless...especially for a base. only useful for starting a pipe chain which is BARELY useful early on. utterly useless when u have the seamoth hull reinforcement is not that useful...15% damage reduction per upgrade, which can be stacked. i personally like the depth upgrade, sonar, perimeter defense and storage. those are all super useful. storage can be stacked and is nice for transport. my second seamoth is fully loaded with storage upgrades for efficient transport. sonar is VERY useful, especially in dark or murky waters.
@@cobrazax awesome. Thank you. Might look into a second hauler seamoth then. I'm not very good at the "farming" in most games. Tend to be a hunter gatherer, but those trees are very useful so definitely something to look into. So far the lack of build connection isn't bothering me... But it might change later on. I'm definitely a minimalist when it comes to base building. Give me a room with storage and I'm usually good to go.
@@gspooks_ Well the farming in this game is effortlessly easy. U can basically plant anything, and seeds for full new plants are any item with the smaller seed icon in its icon. U can also know what plant is plantable by the background of its icon, which also shows if its aquatic or for land. The connection is nice to have so u use the same power source and dont need to switch habitats. Also a moonpool on it's own is a viable base, as long as it has a power source. U can build most of the appliances u need inside of it, while only a few features require extra rooms for them. A transport moth isnt often needed, but can be reasonable for safe surface missions which its extra storage can be useful for, but my deep moth is usually best at almost everything and in any biome at any depth.
@@cobrazax awesome. Good to know
@@gspooks_ u did miss a scan at 43:50. nice u got the PDA so u got both codes. there was a poster in administration that u missed. also missed a poster in the captain's quarters and another 1-2 in some other rooms. btw your sound didnt work at the last minute. i never told u to keep going north and into the dead zone LOL, but sure u can do that IF you really want to! going a bit north (but close to the bottom) would put u in a dangerous biome, but it does have a few nice wrecks. probably a bit north of the gun platform and some to the northeast of it.
@@cobrazax oh thank you for letting me know!!!

Thank you for watching. I'm hoping to have some more time here soon to put into abiotic factor. Picked up a hold down shift at work, so I haven't had as much time as I've wanted. 😅
u took out the power cell from your seamoth...no idea y. u did put it back in. the warper warped u out of it. really nasty so watch out. try to avoid its warp shots by not going in a straight line from him! for some reason u removed the beacon of your seamoth...u can activate it again at the beacon manager when u press TAB. the island gate is hard to find...but its not far from the small bridge section there. i hope u got all the items u missed on that island, including the several scans, PDAs and items. when i said go north...it was so u reach the alien gun island...nothing else really. u can go to the right of it but its not the ideal way in my opinion. probably also more risky, but sure u can try. doesnt mean i said u need to go way beyond that island...though there is some nice stuff to find in that area if u r brave and deep enough... i do want u to watch the sunbeam scene. u can find it on youtube and watch it. this way we can see your actual reaction to the event u missed!! i dont think there is a specific sunbeam wreck
@@cobrazax awesome. Thank you
@@gspooks_ well basically u need to keep checking the radio, exploring lifepods, beacons and wrecks that u find. u can just explore the map and the different biomes in it. each has its own creatures, resources and wrecks, with their own fragments, PDAs and databoxes. the deeper, further away and more dangerous the biome is, the more valuable the things u will find usually are. u can also read all the databank entries that u found. u can also use the codes and clues section to help guide u to other important locations in the game. and yes try to build any useful module, upgrade and items u can. for your base and for u personally. i dont think u have a moonpool yet or some of the other large vehicles. also u can use a scanner room to find more resources and fragments, among other things. i dont want to guide u too much but just let u find your own way with some minimal guidance so u dont get totally stuck.
@@cobrazax Coolio. I got some exploring to do. I do want a pet. So build and explore.
@@gspooks_ U can get a pet :) Yes u need to survive better and better till u r saved!
@@cobrazax that's the goal. Even if I have to struggle along the way.... SURVIVE. lol
5:50 talking about missing an eclipse...while its happening LOL. remember u swim slower when holding an item...so why hold a knife when its useless? yes the rebreather is great. its the only useful mask now that the radiation problem got fixed, so keep it on u and nothing else :D u finally use the seamoth...and u keep going to the surface for air...u do know the seamoth has endless O2 right? thats the whole point of having it...extremely convenient! also, if u read the databank entry about the seamoth, u can get all the details on which upgrades it can have and where to put them. but ill make it easy for u...there is a panel on its side wing. u really need to take special notice of the scan icon at the bottom right. u missed several scans because of this, of blueprints in the wreck and of the boomerang. lights, including for seaglide and seamoth and everything else, take no power, except for the flashlight which has awesome light power. its best to park the seamoth next to the wreck entrance, ideally with lights on, to easily have an O2 source. u missed several useful blueprints in that wreck...u really didnt search that final wreck very well. u missed MULTIPLE scans at 56:30, including a PDA. i have no idea how u got to miss so much...try to aim the scanner at everything and maybe even move around a bit to get better angles. also the PDA is glowing and was near the box there. u can also take a fruit from the tree there 1:00:37 u also missed some scans, a valuable item and a PDA at the last habitat.
Thank you for the info. I will try to keep a better eye out.
at 16:00 it was an eclipse. u can see it. thats why it got dark so fast and for such a short time 33:04 i really dont know how u missed that PDA...u also missed a poster at 42:38

@@cobrazax I do want to head back to the shop at some point and just do some more looking to be on the safe side. So I'll have to be on the lookout for that pda.... Maybe walk around with my head up. :)
@@gspooks_ yes search everywhere thoroughly. best if u empty your inventory first. and u really should start using the seamoth more...but also save from time to time. u can use the storage module on it to store some more. u can use multiple of those. and please add a reaction of you to the video of the sunbeam event...and go to that location. i told u the exact location in several previous comments on other vids.
i think lights take no power from anything, except the flashlight which is very powerful. you searched wrecks better, but still missed some useful stuff in there. search with a flashlight and scan everything. try to find any place u can reach in any wreck. many have multiple entrances and sometimes each reaches a different part of the wreck, which might not be connected to each other. your lifepod is number 5. the PDA tells u where is lifepod 6 relatively to lifepod 4. find lifepod 4 first and then it will help u find lifepod 6. it never mentioned your location in any way. it literally reads of lifepod 4...and u didnt find lifepod 4 yet...its also in the clues section...how can u think it means "me"?? u missed a LOT of stuff in the last wreck. again u search without a flashlight and miss almost everything. even a PDA under a supply box. its glowing so should be seen even without a flashlight. its best to look around with a flashlight and check the scanning icon when aimed at a scannable object up close. u missed many more sections in that wreck. it has another entrance also, and they are connected in a way. there should be an even deeper section. u found the second entrance and then lost it again...as u keep being ultra close to the wreck, making it impossible for u to easily find it. u need to keep some distance from it. try searching the entire wreck using your flashlight. and get a seamoth...it will massively help u, also with searching wrecks as u will have an O2 supply nearby. yes u got in WITH the flashlight and also found a hidden path deeper...its risky though. try to save and yes get the seamoth. its NOT a giant submarine! its awesome though. structural integrity is massively increased by building reinforcements on the walls of your habitat. u can also build foundations and sometimes bulkheads in corridors, but i usually avoid those. after fixing the integrity issues (can also be done by removing base parts, especially weak glass parts), simply fix the breaches with the repair tool. yes u missed something great and i do hope u can at least react to a video of it, and YES u need to go there! to the landing zone. as i told u, go north and if u see a large object out of the water, go to the left of it probably...if u want to stay alive :D

u REALLY need to stop eating rotten fish as it LOWERS your water MASSIVELY, and can do it to your food as well if its rotten enough. when cooking food, eat it immediately. dont take it for your travels. if u want to take food for the way, cure it with salt first. later u will find more solutions for food on the way, but usually curing a few fish is ideal, especially ones that add a lot of food...like the fish that swims near the rock pillars in the red areas. love them. u REALLY should read everything from your PDA databank, especially the interesting ones. at the very minimum, read the "assessment" part at the bottom of the more useful data entries. this can REALLY help u understand the world and how best to interact with it. u should read the part about the reefback, at least the bottom. u also already scanned the cool fish that mesmerized u...u can read about it too! btw u can fight its effect using the mouse to look away...but its harder the closer u r, until its impossible. please carry as little as possible when going away from base. u really shouldnt carry an extra O2 Tank. leave it in your base or near it. it does slow u down and its hard to remember to swap it. its not worth it. u need your inventory for useful stuff like tools, the seaglide and some defensive weapons. u CAN use empty batteries for crafting, including for tools and power cells. i think for tools it doesnt charge it up but keeps the charge...as they fixed the bug that gives u a fully charged tool, but the power cell i think will always come out full. bright objects appearing for a moment is actually wrecks being loaded into the game. can help u locate them...but technically its a bug. u DO need to read about the brain coral...the one spewing bubbles...they are super useful, especially when deep or in caves. use them! u REALLY need to look around wrecks better. most are easy to get into. sometimes even without a laser cutter and often from multiple ways! when u found that last wreck, u actually looked at an entrance and totally missed it. u gave up super quick. ideally keep some distance from u and the wreck, and look at it from ALL SIDES, including top and bottom. some have multiple entrances that reach the same areas, while some actually reach separate areas of the wreck. u CAN listen to audio logs instead of just reading them. u totally missed the sunbeam landing...which is one of the best moments of the game. thats sad. please react to it from youtube so we can see your actual reaction. wish u didnt miss it and actually went there on time... to go to the beacon of the sunbeam landing (and trust me, u NEED to as its a MAJOR part of the story of the game), go north. if u see a large object coming out of the water, go to the left of it, unless u want the long way around...and to risk your life...
Thank you for the info. I tend to get sidetracked easy. So I'll try to be better.

Thank you. I hope you're enjoying the content.
@@gspooks_Youre welcome, and yes, im enjoying the content!
The dark was REALLY dark of a night if I'm honest hun and you can barely see anything under the water OR up topside! 🌌 I was kinda almost screaming at my monitor "You need to build down on the sea floor!" at one point but you figured it out eventually LOL 😂 likewise you figured that you DO NOT need to build another item just because it's ran out of power, ONLY a new battery is required! 🔋 The one thing that I WAS screaming at is that you have built yourself a seaglide and hot barred it to hotkey number 2 but you have yet to use it as you keep STILL swimming around with either your torch or your knife in your hand thus making you swim SLOWER! 🙁Just press 'F' to put things away that you have hold of in your hand 🖐and you'll swim a lot faster when your not holding anything?! Alternatively, just press number 2 one time and simply WATCH how fast you go through the water hun!!! 🤯 I guarantee you that as SOON as you do so, number 2 (or whatever number you have the seaglide hot barred to) will INSTANTLY become your favourite number on the keyboard! PMSL 🤣😂🤣😂 You are also NOW only 1 fragment short of finding all the seamoth parts (you'll need a mobile vehicle bay to build this) 🤔 but again I guarantee you, you will NOT be disappointed once you have that particular little piece of tech! 😁 Whenever you find something like that btw in a specific area/biome (that being down near the red grass area) you will USUALLY find ALL the parts in that area/biome so just stay there and keep searching until you find them all?! 😀 x
Wonderful. Thank you so much for you feedback and the information. I'm always working to get better so I appreciate the comment. :)
good advice. yea usually u can get the same type of fragment from all boxes in a specific biome. she should also improve her water production by switching to a new way to make water...which is literally shown from the beginning, even before bladderfish! super easy to find salt in nearby biomes as well as get the coral she needs for it! she learned about switching batteries on her own. yes she NEEDS to use her seaglide finally! also...reginalds are great! she should read about them or check them out. she should NOT eat rotten food! cooking food is for immediate consumption ideally. cured food is for long term storage...and not over fish when u really dont need it... and btw she REALLY needs to finish basic basebuilding. even a single basic compartment is more than enough for the early game! just put some storage, some appliances, a hatch and a power source and its done...these pumps are useless and are not used for this. i never use them anyway.
@@cobrazax Awesome. Thank you.
What do you have your gamma set to? because THAT is really bright. It is almost washed out during the day light.
Huh. I'll have to check some settings. This is the first comment I've had about it. So I'll work on fixing that. Thank you for letting me know.
The stones that you break under water either, basalt/sandstone or limestone (if you scan them first) should tell you in your PDA what resource you will get from them (gold, silver, lead, copper ect...) this is all randomized obviously 😁 Titanium (the basic building material) you can get simply from metal salvage you pick up off the ocean floor and turn into (I think it's FOUR titanium in the fabricator) making it the best and fastest way to get a LOT of it! 😄 You WILL need a lot of it too as almost EVERYTHING requires titanium! 😳 Also, you have gone down to some wreckage of the Aurora twice now and not scanned anything look around for useful items, inside boxes around the crash site and stuff for things to scan 🙂As Zax mentioned the seeds that you gathered from the Reefback are useless unfortunately hun and are just taking up a LOT of your inventory space so ditch them (the ones in your storage locker too!) 🙁 MOST creatures such as the Sand Shark and Stalker WILL leave you alone if they come at you after one well placed swipe with your knife 🔪 (they WILL back off and leave you alone) so don't panic or feel threatened by them... Fight back 🥊 You SHOULD also be able to craft better flippers that will help you to swim faster 🤿🏊♀ now that you can make rubber?! Again (as Zax said) you can also upgrade/craft another oxygen tank so you can stay down there longer! 🤔 Keep checking your radio messages (the white box on the wall with the red blinking light that indicates a new message) as it will progress the story along for you and give you new POI's (point's of interest) to explore. 👀 Finally, (and you figured this out already) the bigger storage lockers can only be built in a base unfortunately but now you have got a habitat builder I have every confidence in the fact that it will be the next thing you want to delve into so that you can establish a foothold and finally start to get the upper hand 😃 LOVING the content btw I LOVE this game AND the follow up to it (Sub Nautica Sub Zero) and NEVER get tired of playing them again and again 👍
Awesomeness. Sounds like that scanner will never leave my hand lol. Thank you again for the information, and I'm glad your enjoying the content.
yes the radio can help direct her exploration better. however she should explore each biome she reaches, including the ones the radio points to. each one has its own resources, creatures, fragments and wrecks. she should try to collect all useful materals she can, and scan everything she finds. lots of valuable fragments in and around wrecks, as well as useful databoxes. she can also explore randomly...and find some rare fragments in a wreck she finds in the middle of nowhere! i find extra O2 tanks to be very risky and usually not worth it. its hard to remember to swap them to refill them, and that can easily kill u. also, they significantly slow u down, unless its the lightweight one. i really dont think its worth it. one max quality O2 tank is usually more than enough, especially with vehicles. yes scanning rocks can help find out which ores can be found in them. yea metal salvage is useful for a lot of titanium. can also be found in limestone as well as large resource deposits. also scanning fragmets that are already available can give 2 titanium each. its always useful so its good to have a lot of titanium storage. i personally have multiple wall lockers with titanium. i prefer wall lockers for all uses as u can name them and thus sort items much more comfortably. more useful than a bigger storage. they also cost only titanium so are simpler to build. fighting predators is usually not needed as u can move faster than them with the right equipment and avoid them entirely...but yes hurting them back will often make them back off for awhile. also, most predators can be fed with fish! just hold a fish in your hand and when they attack u, they usually will just eat the fish!!
@@cobrazax Thank you. Again it's info that is desperately needed :)
u swim faster when not holding an item in your hands (unless its a powerful speed item that isnt with an empty battery). check the brain coral bubbles as they are nice. your food can go beyond 100 (if u eat it when below 100 it will give its full food increase, but not add any if u r at 100 or above). water cannot go beyond 100. regular plant seeds arent really that useful as these cannot be eaten, and can only be used for decoration once u can grow them. later u can find plants that can be eaten and grown. some are aquatic with a purple background (showing items u can grow underwater) while others grow on land or inside a habitat (those with a green background). some seeds can be taken directly from a plant, while most need to be cut from the plant. some plants are edible directly while many have edible seeds. bleach is great for water supply and u should focus on that asap for high efficiency when possible. later u can find other options too. a base has the best storage solutions, unlike the basic containers u can build now. some storage units can be named or even have different name colors...they are useful for sorting items. u didnt lose the barnacle...u broke it and released a useful metal ore that u already collected. very useful for valuable metals. notice the scanner icon appearing at the bottom right, whenever u are facing an object u need to scan. use it! u really need to stop carrying utterly useless seeds... DONT EAT ROTTEN FOOD!! it makes u LOSE hunger and thirst! rotten plants can still grow if planted, or be used for fabrication. u can pick up containers, but they need to be empty first. u were never told that u need a power cell right now... u should use the bottom hatch to your lifepod...much easier. u didnt notice but u can build a better O2 tank already. get rid of the second basic one u got or put it somewhere else...so it wont interfere with the upgraded one. u should upgrade your O2 tanks often. one is usually enough but u can carry multiples. however, they wont autofill except the one u equip so its super easy to forget to fill them and then die...ideally use only one high quality one.
Awesome. Thank you for the advice and information 😊
@@gspooks_ Happy to help! Made sure to include tips that help u understand the game better and learn from simple mistakes. Also made sure to avoid any spoilers as this game is best experienced on your own, at least with it's cool story elements and exploration that should remain mysterious :)
Use your existing o2 tank to craft the upgraded one.....no sense creating a new one because the upgrade will replace the one you are currently using.
u REALLY should collect different types of fish...and YES u CAN collect the creepvine seeds! u just need to get close enough. bleach shouldnt be hard to get once u have a knife. also, i recommend u to read PDA entries like when u scan stuff, by pressing TAB. at the very least read the "assessment" part at the bottom for what things can be used for.
brightness is off the charts...please make it more normal
You DON'T need a knife to get the creepvine seed cluster hun 🤔 (the yellow seed pods on the vine cos you can get them by hand) you ONLY need it to get a creepvine sample 🌿 (hitting the creepvine itself with the knife) you can get rubber AND lubricant from the creepvine or creepvine seed clusters aswell as fibre mesh later on from the creepvine itself! Also, you can catch and eat ANY fish 🐠for food by hand (cook it in the fabricator) just swim up to a fish and grab the little shits lol 😂 but the little purple (Bladder fish) you can use to make bottled water (again in the fabricator) as soon as you get a knife the next 2 things you'll wanna build/craft is a scanner (to unlock vehicle blueprints and equipment you might come across like that grav trap you saw by scanning it) and the repair tool to fix anything you craft! 👩🎓 Once you craft a scanner by the way SCAN EVERYTHING YOU POSSIBLY CAN! lol 😂At some point you will also need to locate the blueprints for the lazer cutter too so you can start exploring wreckage/parts of the Aurora ship that have broken off the main hull 🙂 (SOME of the doors need to be lazered into in order to open) 😉A habitat builder will enable you to also craft a base of your own but you will need to go to the islands first (if you look around you will see what looks like a mysterious fog in a couple of areas 😳 in the distance, these are the islands and on one of them you will find the former base of the Degasi crew (yet ANOTHER space ship that crash landed on this planet) 🙁 while swimming around the depths you will come across other lifepods from the Aurora just like yours except they have a giant hole torn into the side of it, like something REALLY big was trying to get in 😱 they will also have a PDA like yours (little glowing thingie inside) that will usually give you a new reference point somewhere on the map to focus on and carry the story forward for you. You can use the scanner to scan the base components (the base itself) and habitat modules/compartments in order to construct a base yourself! 🏠 The grav trap is awesome by the way it will capture ANY fish swimming near it and hold it in place for you so set one up next to your life pod or any base that you craft in order to NEVER run out of food or water ever again! Hope this info helps you out some how?! 😁👍 x
Omg info dump..... I bet I'm bout to get some serious UPGRADES😅
@@gspooks_ You are indeed hun 😁 but even the sea glide is awesome, its a hand held DPV or Diver Propulsion Vehicle 👍 (A little handheld propeller that pulls you through the water at speed) You will find getting around a LOT easier and faster with it that's for sure 😀 x
Awesome. Thank you!
@@Dazz622 dont spoil all the cool stuff to find later! i think info about seed clusters and catching fish is more than enough for now... giving info about secret islands and later game items is completely not needed now. u even talk about major story elements when she didnt even get rubber yet...man thats some major spoilers.
06:10 "Nothing has tried to eat me yet. There's always five seconds from now." LOL! That's the way to look at it. I like the little spook pic that pops up to comment on your actions "famous last words".
