Hi, This is a where I will share videos of my food journey. I will share my cooking trials and errors, too, at times. Living here in the UK is challenging and I try to use local ingredients in my family meal. I am also on a journey to recreate the many Nyonya food and kuihs so that it will not be forgotten.
I will document my travel, cooking and food related experience.
At home, I normally cook from scratch, where possible. I love sharing my food and I hope you enjoy the episodes as much as I make them.
If you enjoy my trials and tribulations, please like, subscribe and share with your friends.

You were very close to the content I'm looking for Please advise, I did not harvest my potatoes the previous I season and see that they are resprouting should I trust the potatoes will grow back or it will be plants without potatoes this season?
The potatoes will grow and you have more plants and more potatoes. But I think it won't be as large as the original.
how are you mam i want grow poppy only for roses i love poppy flower but i have not seed its my dream i grow poppy in my garden
You canbuy the seeds from garden centres. Or if you have poppy seeds at home that you use for curry, you can use those seeds.
Or buy the plants from garden centre and grow them to maturity and harvest the seeds.
Too bad that I can't find the Roti Babi's recipe, so will move to look for someone who will give out the recipe.
Hmm.. thanks for letting know. It is in the blog
I have covid and it made salty stuff terrible :(
Yes, we pour scorn on the ignorant and pile on the irony by making rendang chicken crispy! Well done! Love that it is oven baked and not deep fried. Healthier n kitchen is cleaner. Your chicken looks super deeleecious! Thank you for sharing this special recipe! And all the best to your channel. It is a culinary treasure trove!
Thanks for watching
So much easier. And cheaper! Thank you.
You are most welcome.
Penang and Malaysian food are dirty, oily and lousy. Overrated by Malaysians! LOL.
what kind of fire is used when baking? Top or bottom?
If you have top and bottom oven, use both. I have a fan oven.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
What is gambada?
Looks delicious!
It was!
Thank you for your wonderful recipe!
My pleasure 😊. I hope you try ut
I love rice porridge… what to do with leftover porridge? 🤷♀️
I just keep it for the next day. Is stores well in the fridge.
Thanks for the recipe. Can I just store the cured yols without baking them in the oven? How long will they keep in the fridge if I don't bake them?
I haven't tried it without baking. I think it would be slippery and difficult to handle. You can try leaving it in the salt for a longer period and keep it in the fridge. But I am not sure how long it would keep.
Penang specialty
Thank you
Thank you
Looks very yummy miss!

I am glad you like the video.
Hi, can I keep the yolk in the salt for more than 24 hours, to make the salted eggs harder? Thanks.
Yes. You can. It will taste better, more salty.
These came out very nice! 🥰
Thank you
We do it for deepavali too mam .anyway tq
Thank you. Yes it is common in Deepavali too. My Hindu friend make it too.
Hi, just one comment! Although the story of kaya deriving its name from the Hainanese sounds nice, it doesn't hold up to historical data. The Hainanese only started arriving in Malaya in the 1800s, whereas serikaya can be traced as far back as to the 1500s i.e. around the Portuguese occupation of Melaka. What is more, the Portuguese have an egg and milk pudding similar to kaya, which is called 'sericaia'. Either the Portuguese version derives from the Malayan version or vice versa. Since the Portuguese were long gone by the time the Hainanese started arriving, irrespective of whether it was sericaia→serikaya or serikaya→sericaia, the Hainanese could not have had a hand in the naming process. Chris, You sure know alot of history!! It's some info that I heard. Your explanation sounds plausible, I mean logical. Thanks for sharing. Very generous of you to share!! Love this. ❤️

Hello, thank you so much for sharing your experience with the passport renewal. Just a question as your TH-cam video is posted in 2022. Can I walk in and renew my Malaysian passport within a day still. I can find any information on the high commission website. Thank you for your help.
As far as I know it has been renew in the morning and collect on the afternoon. Yes you can go there personally. There is information on the website. There is also a photocopier There but I suggest make all the relevant copies beforehand just in case the copier broke down.
how many days can i keep it in the fridge to use after taking it out of the oven ??
I have kept it for weeks in an airtight container. It will dry up a bit if you keep it longer.
Thanks Auntie!! Needed this info for renewal end of year 😁
You are most welcome.
looks so good!! I definitely need to try this 😸
You should! It is tasty and different.
I have tried other recipes but your recipe is definitely the best. Always turned out well.

Ive subscribed and hut the notification bell. Great video. Can you still re use the salt here?
Thank for the subscribe. Yes the salt can be reused. Dry it in a slow oven and you can reuse it.
This looks so yummy 😋
Chinese vegetarian duck is delicious. You should try it.
Thats What fotballers use💀
Really? ❤️ You mean as an ointment for massage? There is nutmeg oil used for medicinal purpose like for massage. It is also used as a drink.
May I know if only London can get the Malaysia passport renewed no other location like Birmingham or Manchester?
As far as I know only in London.
Wasting salt
It can be reuse. Just dry them in the oven.

Any alternatives for the oven? I don't have one at my place right now 😢
The oven is just to facilitate the drying. Perhaps dry it in the fridge, uncovered? Or perhaps use a hair dryer - low heat and dry for a few minutes. Let me know how it goes.
I like to renew my Malaysian passport in London... Do I need to fill in the (IM. 42) form ? ... What I know no form need to fill in when Im renewing my passport... Correct me if I'm wrong... Thank you
