If you can get your hands on a used office chair where lower part is not broken, it is not that hard to transform it into nice and useful bonsai turntable.

Discovering details

As I discovered my ability to create video clips, I put some more effortsto seek for hidden details on my bonsai shelf and play with videos. Trees are not exhibition specimen and video is not Holywood production, but both makes me happy. Enjoy...

      This is new growth after defoliation. Overall, morus species are good on making leaves smaller.

    They are very cool trees. I tried to propagate some softwood morus nigra cuttings here in Eastern Europe, but started kinda late - in september. Now out of the 7 only one has started to root and grow and i was really happy. Unfortunately my cat for some weird reason managed to sneak into the room where im keeping them, knocked the plastic dome over it and bit off the lil' green stem. :( And i wanted to ask you for advice, if u think that it can be saved? And if there's some way to keep it alive and help it? Cause i feel bad and I know that they can lose alot of essential nutrients from such wounds. If it helps for info - its under plastic bottle dome in a room with a heater during the winter nights, around 68-75 fahrenheit, there is sunshine during the day, but i make sure its not a direct sunlight. I water when the soil gets dry and i spray them with clonex mist spray every 3,4 days. Should i continue as before or remove the injured bud and rely on the others below it? I have some grafting tape that i can wrap it in also, if it can help contain the nutrient loss.

    that is awsome! I will definitely be making that at some point, I already have everything I need. what type of tree was on the turn table at 2 minutes and 11 seconds? I have several my self and I think that they are elms or iron woods.

    • @AlexHorvatBonsai
      @AlexHorvatBonsai 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      fishead 2925 That's Ostrya carpinifolia. Regarding turntable, I am working on making a practical break addition so turntable can be blocked when needed. Hope to post followup soon.
