I have electric heat. No gas in my apartment. I kept my place at 57-60 when I was home after work (I kept it off during the day) and my electric over winter was like 160$ plus per month. Now, I'm not using heat cause it was spring and beginning of summer and my electric is around 70$ or 80$. I'm going to cover my windows with plastic film insulation this upcoming winter and see if that helps at all cause electric heat is ridiculously expensive

I get what people are rightly afraid of, that AI makes things look real that aren't. At least in this case though, as a mother of six, and one of the Meemas of those particular children, I had no trouble recognizing this was primarily staged. 😏 Everybody woke up happy! Everybody was clothed all through the film. No one complained about food choices at breakfast, no sibling fights broke out, no one markered on themselves or stationary objects, and Mama had way too much uninterrupted peaceful time to herself. Nope, no way that was reality, lol. But that in itself makes a great point. Life would be too perfect --too bland-- without the mess, conflict, time issues, and 'teachable' moments . Sometimes I am guilty of wanting less stress in my life, but what a good reminder this is that the stress is really where we find the beauty. :-) ❤

"It's fun, it's pretty, but it's not real." Amen to that. This was an incredible video with a needed truth-telling message. Pick a social media topic--parenting, faith, home decorating, gardening, etc.--the visual content you see about that topic is CRAFTED. It can be beautifully crafted, yes, and that production is a creative work in itself. But it's not representative of reality. Two experiments come to my mind, if you decide to keep following this vein of inquiry: 1. I wonder what AI might come up with if you asked for a "more honest video showing realities of caring for your preschool children each day." I wonder if it would still have a pretty heavily crafted feel or not? 2. Compare both of the AI-guided productions to: a day-in-the-life vid that YOU personally storyboard and shoot in a way that captures only moments that really happen, with no preparation of self or your "film set". You're on to something powerful here. Keep at it!
