    I came to learn throat singing and realized that I use to do that when I was sick and had a soar throat without knowing anything about it.

    how i found out how to throat sing was completely by accident i was sick at the time and i was sort of clearing my throat but by doing so i found out how to throat sing almost immediately so my advice is to cough and try to find that gurgle in the cough and then boom! you can throat sing now.

      Call it whatever you'd like but there's points in the body that resonate at certain frequencies. Your feet certainly don't resonate the same as your heart, throat, pineal etc

    • @IntoTheNothing1
      @IntoTheNothing1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ToZ-li1re well sure. That’s like saying the strings on a guitar resonate at different frequencies. No argument there. But the spiritual connection to this resonance is all new age paganism nonsense.

    Im just learning polyphonic singing cause i rememebered a year ago i found out that i could do it and its an actual thing and i can do some much with it because i used to just use it as my "funny voice" XD. Now im listening to this and Crónán Singing and realized my dad literally always use to and sometimes still throat sings, and that explains why its so easy for me to learn polyphonic. I genuinely had no clue that i got any of his musical ability cause i had work so hard to learn to sing for the past 10years only for me to realize the ability was always there for this and for overtones. Very happy, thanks for sharing!!!

    Viking throat singing came from Mongolian warriors who travelled to Norway and adjoing territories… as well as the jaw harp 👍🏼

    • @unidentifiedshrubz
      @unidentifiedshrubz ปีที่แล้ว

      And then the cronan singing (Irish and Scottish) came from the Norse Vikings who got it from said Mongolian warriors. It's beautiful how similar humans from diff regions are as well as the sharing between cultures🙌

    Greetings people. I once saw a video in TV, a Scandinavian artist/singer was singing like this voice: 00:23, it was traditional. How can I find songs like that? I know Danheim, it was not like Danheim, it did not have any digital/electronic stuff in it. It was a live actually. I would be grateful if you people help me. Thank you all.

    Is there evidence of Viking or Old Norse throat singing? I don't know much about Viking Age music. The only close-in-time example of Norse music I've heard was 13th century, _Drømde mik en drøm i nat,_ from the Codex Runicus (and that seemed more typical of medieval folk songs).

    I've been doing this every day in my car to and from work. I started in school where I used it to sound to immitate buzzing sounds. At this point I can reach a bunch of scales, a few overtones and I can get rather bassy. Best thing about it is that I can use it to warm up my singing voice really fast.

      More than Asian know how to throat sing. The throat is a natural part of the body almost anyone can do it. Therefore there is reason to believe that the Norse as well as other groups like in Africa and Pakistan could have used this technique.

    • @notchurka3332

      @@muhammadscott571 No, we are talking about this specific technique. There is nothing written that vikings throat sing like this. Only thing said is that "their singing is a humming worse than barking dogs". That is very vague
