I think they have too many dashers. I recently tried to apply n I wasn’t able to get in n dash said they will notify me when there is a spot available.

Let me explain why you’re not making any money. People are broke now. And the pandemic is over. So the days of DoorDash and big tips are over. Why would I pay 50 to 100% more for somebody to deliver food to me and then pay a tip on top of it unless I was extremely lazy. So there will be people at are extremely lazy for another reason can’t get out but the days of making a possible living at this are over. Unless there’s another pandemic.

DoorDash is a scam. As expensive as vehicles are today and as little as you make the only ones getting money is the corporation. And this contract violation is pure BS. Matter of fact as a tax auditor that did nothing but dwell into the world of contract labor, most of these apps are true employment. But we would not have had the personnel to work this.

Im a lawyer and live in West LA. I never figured drivers made any money. You are proving my point. Plus you are not subtracting cost of driving the vehicle etc. (I know you realize that.). Driving normal Uber also leads to min wage after repairs, gas, depreciation. If it makes you feel any better, the Uber corp is also not turning a profit.

I enjoy the content but worry for your safety. I used to deliver food for DD & UE overnight and although the money was good, it was not worth risking my safety. I was finally forced to realize that and stopped delivering overnight. It IS that oversaturated, depending on the market area and time of delivery. YES, please make a daytime delivery video when most people are awake, lol. Please stay safe out there!

I talked to a new Uber driver today who said he thought Uber is a scam. He said he made no money after expenses over the past month.

$54.00 for 5 hours work, minus $20.00 for Gas. $34.00 Plus cell phone costs, car washes, oil changes, brake pads, etc. Plus you need to eat after working for 5 hours, so -$10.00 at least. So you work for 5 Hours, Risk Your Life to make $24.00 dollars = $4.50 per hour? It should be against the law to rob and cheat drivers until they quit.
