no, only need to run it during the inside cabin part

Yes, EVs are allowed for class 4 tests. However, there is a completely different checklist you need to go through if using EVs. All I know is for EVs you are allowed 5x demerit points only, instead of 7x for gas vehicles.

Yes you can, but for the EV cars, there is a DIFFERENT pre-trip checklist you need to follow.

Yes. There will be a Class 4 knowledge test before the road test

My lug nuts are under the cap so should I remove all the caps?
That would be a good question to ask the instructor BEFORE the start of your exam. My guess is you don't need to remove caps, as long as you mentioned on it, you should be fine.

Hello Jeff Nice video. any idea if EVs are allowed to be use for pre trip inspection test (as obviously it has no visible engine with belts and motor oil to show the examiner)

When you turn the left signal, right signal, break lights etc in part 3, is the inspector is inspector outside the car watching the light working?
That is correct, he stays outside. You turn on left turn and low beam, come out and say they are working, THEN you turn on right turn and high beam, come out and say they are working.

Hi Jeff - do we need to bring emergency equipment to the Class 4 exam - ie. fire extinguisher and 1st aid kit
Hello, no emergency equipment is required for the restricted Class 4 exam (restricted = small car for up to 4 passenger); I'm not sure about the non-restricted class 4 (van, bus) though.

Are you allowed to bring a checklist with you to list your steps? Or are they expecting drivers to memorize all the steps for the test?

Thanks man, tomorrow is my inspection test for class 4, For ICBC. Now , even if u fail inpection test, they allow u to give a driving test . I passed the driving but failed inspection. So now i have to give the inspection test only to get class 4 license.
Good to know! Sorry I forgot to test windshield wiper (from inside) and wiper condition (from outside). Also, don't forget to say exhaust is firmly attached after you tap on it. Good luck at your test!
I passed the inspection thanks to your video. But I think you forgot about Fuel gaze ? Or i missed it in ur video. That's the only thin the examiner found missing. I don't know why but I used my wipers, maybe cause of snow it was dirty while he was sitting beside me, lol. Read ur comment after passing. Anyway, thanks for such a clear and slow video. I remembered everything .
