    Is incredible the lenghts people go to make such an elaborate system in scale and then make sure that strings dont last more than a few minutes.

      Stick with poly or cotton. Use fewer wraps.

    thanks... great! Now, though... I might see which was made first, this one or the "no rig" one, because in this one you only shrink the initial twist by 15", whereas the other one you shrink it 24" (2 feet). I wondered if that was because this whole rig was shorter than the 12 foot door knob no-rig video or if you decided more shrinkage is better? (only in yoyo culture) :)

      The spin down distances in these videos are purely for example purposes. Not having a rig means a lot more guessing/estimating. It is a lot less accurate. A good general staring point for reduction is 10% of whatever the distance between anchor points is. More or less than that is largely just determined by personal preference.

    Hello, i have a questiik, how many distance you let de string contracts before you part de string in the middle, to use your drill in he other way?

  • @adriansierramartinez7516
    @adriansierramartinez7516 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, you turn clockwise? Or counter clockwise?

    • @aireticstrings4190
      @aireticstrings4190 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adrian Sierra Martinez depends on if you are right handed or left handed. For a right handed player, the twist is clockwise.

    What are the dimensions on the rig? Thanks for the great tutorial. I plan on trying to make some string this week.

    • @kiloxray3800
      @kiloxray3800 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      W Sugg this rig is 12' between anchor points. Add a little extra if you want to have spool posts. It's about 5" wide.

    • @OtterLakeFlutes
      @OtterLakeFlutes 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kiloxray3800 that's how long the no-rig video length was, but is this rig 12'? I only ask because in the door knob "no rig" video he shrinks it from 12' to 10' (24") whereas this one he's only shrinking 15"

    • @kiloxray3800
      @kiloxray3800 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are however you decide to make them. It's up to you. You can vary the thickness by increasing or decreasing the number of times you go from the drill to the anchor point with your thread.
