I didn’t know the entire 55/05 fleet had been sent to Ukraine! But you’re right, they will serve the country well. 💪🏻🇺🇦🚒🇬🇧

@@0ne-6right40 there’s 1 05 plate left in the reserves & 3 55 plates left with 2 of them in driver training & 1 working on the recruit courses. They’ll probably be donated to Ukraine themselves soon though.

Merseyside are different, they call it a "ALP" not sure why, plus all the firefighters at the station, have told me it's a Aerial Ladder Platform.

@@merseysideemergencyservice7580 well if Merseyside now call these ALPs then they definitely aren't different any more! Because they've called them Combined Platform Ladders (CPL) for donkeys years, and are/were one of the few brigades to refer to them as anything other than an ALP.

@@merseysideemergencyservice7580 thanks, I didn’t realise until I got a turnout from Kirkdale’s P1 that tannoy really does project itself - even with the traffic going past the station on both sides I clearly heard “AFA - Commercial”. Also there was a minor RTC with a Roads Policing unmarked X5 and Response & Resolution Peugeot in attendance, and a few raised voices.
