Thank you so much for publishing this concert. I had the chance to see them live twice in Switzerland. They were so much ahead of their time. It‘s amazing how it sounds more than 30 years later !
Can only echo the other comments - great quality, please post the whole show :)
I think we played one of those gigs Lightning Strike
Why.there.a.pic.appear.in.the.video.with.j.masics.and.members.of.Gumball.band-?
Because around this time they were briefly in Dinosaur Jr.
I saw them at Leeds Warehouse on this tour. Lots of new songs appearing in the set, compared to a gig at The Duchesss, 6 months sarlier.
Thanks for another great upload. I caught this tour at Leeds Polytechnic, the week before this gig.
Great set. I saw Tom & the Karpets earlier this year & he started that gig with Commercial Rain too.
POSSIBLE TO HAVE A GIG FROM THE TELESCOPES FROM THE END OF 1990 ,? MERCI
we put one up from august that year. none after that, only earlier.
The other versions of this recording here in youtube is not as good as yours. Pls post the whole set if u can
Amazing sound
Yes it is
Good sound, & the vocals are in-tune 😁 1989 was the year for the Stone Roses, a few of us were into them in the early part of that year…by the end of 1989 everyone was into them…great days which set-up Indie guitar bands for the next decade.
Please post the full gig, stone roses is a must
I was at this one. I think it was the last of the pre-'Whirlpool' gigs I saw them do and certainly the last where they really "burned the guts out of the place" as another fan said to me a few years later after the Garage gig in 1994. 'Die! Die! Die!' is still a killer cut.....

Thanx for posting this, would love to hear the rest!!

No one understand the reason... everyone wants full shows no these excerpts...
@@iridiomoffas1783 Thank you for listening and for your support. We have mentioned elsewhere many reasons we are only uplopading mainly excerpts for now anyway, and have also said if the interest is there, then we will upload the full sets when we're done. However, just to give you an example of lack of interest. A Ride set from just a month later from this one which we put up over 4 years ago, has nearly 800 'views' of which only less than 20% made it past 30 seconds, about 5% made it to the end and not even 10% completed listening to the first song. And Ride are a very popular band too. This is very time consuming and we're not doing it for any financial reward, so this lack of interest at the moment is a bit disappointing and doesn't really encourage us to waste time uploading stuff only a handful of people are interested in. Also, the vast majority of listeners don't subscribe to the channel (which obviously doesn't cost anything) and that doesn't help with the channel's visibilty and therefore growth which would attract more views and encourage us that people did give a shit. Hope that helps you understand. Please keep listening, spread the word, and wait and see.....
@@DOTHEMOOZIK You are free to do what you want but we are talking about indie bands not Madonna..., when you upload interesting concerts I just download the audio and keep it safe and probably most people will do that, you can't expect "views" in that sense... sorry but I don't get the point, do you need your channel become bigger for uploading complete stuff? well, I don't understand it... sorry for my english
@@DOTHEMOOZIK i have been a subscriber since you channel was mentioned in creation records site.. this ride excerpt you have posted is by far the best i have heard.. it sounds like a soundboard recording and if im not mistaken ride played a few songs in 89 that were never released. Like the last song after closemyeyes.. theres a lot of ride fullset here in youtube but your recordings are the best ..u were there at that time and recorded this set ..after 35 years you have shared the experience via audio....and i appreciate that.... i hope u would consider posting the fullset for this... thank u so much for your efforts.. and for these amazing uploads.
@@ZiggyPopster Thank you for kind words and support. Unlike some!!

Malcolm Ross was playing here, possibly Neill Martin too?
Thanks for this. Will add it to the description.

Excellent. Many thanks. Please keep up the good work. Just a quick question: do you have Lush at ULU 19 December 1991 by the way? I recorded it at the time, the tape broke and I have never found anyone else who recorded it.
Unfortunately not. The last Lush we recorded was earlier in 91. Be interested to hear any recordings you made frm that period if you have uploaded them anywhere.

MERCI
I was there ❤
Me too
I think I hear you singing along in the background :)
@@MikeMastroianni I was there in body, certainly not mind! 😂
@@MikeMastroianni omg 🤣
What a fantastic band. I'm seeing them with The Primitives in Leeds, next month.
Good sound on this one! And a great Velvet Underground Cover
Great set for those of us that were there. Utterly shite recording that is tinny as fuck
Sorry you thought the recording was shite. Any tips you've got for recording outdoors with a handheld recorder in a large crowd, far from the speakers and with wind blowing the sound around, will be gratefully received. In the meantime if you can send us a link to a superior recording of this set, we'll happily remove this inferior one. Thanks for listening. DTM!

@@DOTHEMOOZIK Don't mind if you do. But we're still waiting for more Sweet Tooth, which I think proved popular ;) (more than Terminal Cheesecake thats for sure)
This version of Over is so amazing, one of their best songs, belonged on mezcal head
Definitely. They should have released it either as a b-side to an early ep or squeezed it on Raise, which they eventually did on a much later re-release as an extra track.
This is awesome festival music. It's made to mong out to in the sun. Wish I'd been a few years older so I could have experienced this live
I believe this the Venue's 3rd anniversary night? I was there with a few mates. Seem to recall also it was red nose day? Miki made some reference about no one wearing red noses, my mate pointed out she had red hair.. Blur were rubbish!
Def saw this band possibly supporting Darling Buds and they sound a lot better than I remember wow

Super re ok
Travelled from italy for this amazing trio of awfully talented musicmakers. Still listen to them weekly now in 2024. Unique sound that obviously nobody else even tried to copy. Still my fave band along with COG [ozzie band] I was lucky to become friendly with Vic and the guys so much that i even had the massive honour to guest them in my house in Milano during the 1992 4 dates in italy. Best 4 days ever had time of my life. Vic left us last year 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢❤ and i cried. Lost a kind soul and a friend. Devastated and still banging my head to the wall for not following my last 10 years instinct to make a surprise trip to UK in order to find you for a drink or 7 and a huge italian hug [remember the Midnight pub in Milano??] Often planning to run up to Norwich and start searching, but in the end, I never did and i will never forgive myself 😢 And the faces of the people when you arrived at your wedding day with a plastered arm. 😂😂😂 must still have a few photos of that somewhere. What a looooong, fantastic day we had with breathtakingly beautiful Tansy (by the way, she still is today), and the whole Skyscraper family. I do thank you for our timid but powerful friendship and hope to reach you soon up there for that hug that never was😢 Rip Mr. VIC KEMLICZ always and forever in my ❤ ciao amigo
Top comment, thanks. Excellent band. Such a shame about Vic, we never knew him but hopefully these live uploads will keep the sound of Milk alive, and we still have many more to go.
My oh my, 25 years ago and I was there...my god it was loud. Suffering for it now. But, happy memories nonetheless! Vaguely remembered that part of the stage collapsed, or maybe that was my mind. 🌪🛸🎸🎸🎸
What a great find, thanks.
Thanks for posting. Amazing the evolution of the band in the two years post the release of Pristine Christine, from pure indie pop to blues influenced. I guess thats why they split soon after to become Delta (allusions to Mississippi delta?).
At this show. Waving a teddy bear at the band.
thx for uplaoding!
All other bands are still dog shite.
Sice has hair !
Fantastic stuff 👌🏽
