For all of the Kenobi Show’s flaws, it got one thing right, Vader and Obi-wan’s last interaction before ANH: “I’m sorry Anakin, for all of it” Obi wan pleads one final time to try and get through to Anakin, admitting his failures as a master “I am not your failure, Obi-wan, You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker…” It seems to have somewhat worked as Anakin tries to convince Obi-wan that it was not his fault while Vader fights for control “I did…just as I am going to DESTROY you…” The shadow’s of hope fade as Vader takes over “Then my friend is truly gone, Goodbye…Darth” Obi-wan accepts that Anakin is now dead, only Vader remains Sure, It would’ve been better if the whole show was this good, but at least we got one 10/10 scene

What if Vader realized Leia was his daughter in New Hope when he had her captured. One of the main reasons he joined the dark side was he thought he lost everything. The plot would get dark as we combine the same logic to Leia after watching her entire planet be destroyed she gets enraged and taps into the dark side of the Force and kills Tarkin and tries to kill Vader who instead escapes with Luke and Chewie due to Obi-Wan sacrificing himself to save his old friend. Han though is captured and decides to instead help Leia seek revenge. Leia eventually manipulates the Emperor only to eventually betray him and the Reign of the Empress begins. Anakin and Luke flee to the Rebel alliance and eventually start to work together. The story would then be a road for redemption for Anakin and forgiveness for Luke as together they build a bond and fight to stop Leia and save her from herself as well as the rest of the Galaxy. The ending scene would be Anakin taking control of the bridge of Leia's Super Star destroyer and has Luke take Leia away after she realizes what she has become but before they leave he tells her how much she reminds him of her mother and how much he loves both of them. They leave and Anakin steers the ship into the death star but before it crashes into the station he removes his mask so that he may die as Anakin Skywalker, not Darth Vader. Luke and Leia then l flee to deep space and live in hiding on a remote planet so that no one would know the Empress survived. Post credit scene however, shows Han Solo meeting up with Boba Fett at a cantina and accept to split the Bounty to find and bring in the lost Empress. Dead or alive.

Vader isn’t a tale to be regaled as a redemptive story. It is an explanation of human nature, all of human nature. The failure to learn the lessons and heed the warnings. The failed relationships and meetings with others who knew. We are as others see us. We cannot define ourselves by ourselves. We need others to see what they see, not us. Self definition is dangerous and Vader’s story is a prime example of that. Just accept who you are and let others point you in your way.
