Have you checked the shaders settings?

If you play with shaders, there is no more, only less and then it is perfect, just if someone has a good graphics card and processor, they use shaders, you can also max out the shader settings

It makes your cpu work at max the whole time which isn't ideal, you just want it to get you enough fps as your screen refresh rate which is enough for a good experience.​@@ItachiUchiha-wt2mu

@@ItachiUchiha-wt2mu most games in their settings have an fps cap option like 60 fps,120fps,144 fps, 240 fps and so on. There is also an option in every game setting called v sync which also a form of frame rate cap which is not preferable in shooting games because it causes a slight amount of input lag which isn't desirable

According to benchmarks it does about 17% worse (if everything's the same, except the gpu)

I have the same components and close to them in my build, I tried to run shaders with the distance horizon mod with terralith and another one and it could barely go over 100fps but it looked amazing!

@@jonahhodges3852 100 FPS is far more than I get in any game.. xd You should try it all with physics mod if it doesn't produce any visual glitches and search other mods like audio ones and small visual tweaks to make it true experience. ;d

@@pantherausf.d6914 I shall try it, I chose to take out the distance horizons mod but I may put it back in and see just how great it can look and also, BSL shaders don’t work with DH, unless there is another version of it than the two I tried with it

I recommend sodium cause that’s what I use but I may try optifine and see if there is a framerate difference between the two
