The way I do Mazatrol M32B EIA tool offsets
This does not use the Mazatrol Tool Data at all.

Mazatrol is far more superior on a 3 axis mill then CAM software. The only time you need to run CAM is for 3D’ing other then that Mazatrol can run circles around other software even on the old machines like yours. Learn to use it and you will see the advantages. But you have to forget G code and keep an open mind. I learned Mazatrol after a few years of G coding and at first I hated it but then once o got the hang of it now I prefer it.

in the controls you can set that length of the block then its automatically adds that length or subtract the block

@@levettp try to look at the menus under which you set the tool length. am sure you can put a value there so when you press teach it puts the value -/+ tool length .. If I had the manual I could say exactly that
the best way .. just set dist from tabel to top off workpices in G54 .. I use 3d taster to measure dist from top off workpice and down to plan .. and set G54 to this dist .. i measures all tools up from plan the best way to control all you tools
wow way to go mazak they had that chicken wing tool changing button for a long time

@@travismiller3068 It can be for sure.....I use dnc4u to drip feed .....It was a lot of trial and error to get it to work.....but it works pretty good now.

@@christophercolumbus8944 pretty much all Mazak for the last 7 years or so....vtc16a, vtc16b, QT6 and a VCU 500a 5x.

I use a product called dnc4U and drip feed using Rs232
