Perfume talk. Also a sports fanatic. I’ve been into perfumes for 18-19 years and all my bottles are the result of that and bought throughout the years. I’m doing this channel just for fun and to share my passion for fragrances and show what I enjoy and like to wear.
We don’t talk about performance, beast mode, compliments, or ”niche quality” here. Those things don’t matter to me. In the end it’s all just perfume and there’s more important things in life than fragrances. But I welcome here everyone who shares the passion or interest to the beauty of perfume.
I don’t edit my videos so they are as they are and english is not my native language so there might be some mistakes and errors here and there but that’s what makes us human and also talking about perfumes doesn’t have to be perfect or so polished always. Thanks for joining!

I had this on my list. Just waiting on a chance to get a vintage decant but it is highly unlikely. Your comparisons with several Chanels helps to paint a picture of what it smells like.
I agree. I enjoy this one alot.
Was curious about this one. Thanks for this.
@@eauceylon1891 My pleasure my friend!
Great to see you, Timo. Looking sharp as usual, with an appropriate fragrance as an accompaniment! 👌
@@JJColb Thank you very much JJ and it is really great to see you here too! 🙏
Great take on a great scent, thank you for the upload! I feel it’s the powdery quality that gives it the posh, dandy vibe - and it’s also the reason why to me it smells somewhat anachronistic (not dated). I’m not 100% on board with the comparisons to Chanel’s Pour Monsieur, either, although with Jacques Polge being the nose behind this, some similarities are inevitable. Tiffany for Men lasts longer than any version of Pour Monsieur I have ever smelled and actually, the longevity is both a strength as well as a weakness, as I find the late, late drydown a bit tiring and daunting. The sprayer on this thing is monstrous AND at the same time, the 50ml bottle somehow feels tiny - a combination that sometimes makes me hesitant to spray it, as I feel I can see the liquid level go down by every flick of the trigger finger. Running out won’t be on the agenda for a while, regardless, as I have 3 bottles of this (+ the after shave for layering purposes). Tiffany for Men Cologne Concentree was also released in 1989 and that one is a real unicorn. Have you had a chance to smell that one? I have never seen a bottle in wild. I understand it wasn’t a very necessary flanker, and it was discontinued in haste.
@@drewanstore5550 Thank you for the nice comment! Yes I’m totally with you on Pour Monsieur comparisons as well. My english sometimes bites me back as in one point I meant to say ”if there even is any similarities” but accidentally said ”if there even is any differences” 😁 But yes for me too they are two different fragrances even though there’s some similarity no doubt. That is really awesome that you have 3 bottles! Should last at least a little while 🙏 I actually didn’t even know there was a concentree version! Would be wonderful to try it.

Nawab of Oudh is the bottle I would keep if I had to get rid of all but one. I've found that everyone who has smelled it reads it a bit differently. To me it reads like a floral that is filtered through the red Pimento pepper, very airy and fresh like you say. Later on, Labdanum and a a very classy touch of Oud come up. Cardamom and cinnamon for sure, but the Pimento keeps it away from having any Christmas time association. Really enjoy Coromandel as well. I was really fortunate to come across a half a bottle of EDT that a very nice gentleman was selling recently and got it for a resonable price (compared to Ebay prices at least!). It reminded me immediately of this old trunk that my grand-grandfather bought back from China in the early 1900's, but in the very best way possible. Enjoy the way you describe the scents, a good mixture of specific notes and general impressions.
@@Nihla1 First of all thank you for the nice and kind words :) Yes that is very true that Nawab Of Oudh seems to come across differently for most people and I’ve always had a hard time noticing the oud out of it for some reason. But I have to say that if I could only have 1 perfume, I think it would very high up there for me too no doubt. Have a good day 🙏
I will look out to sample this one. Leather and oud can be a difficult thing to balance so I am quite intrigued.

@@yukiaditya7352 I totally understand what you mean. But I’m sure you have many other great ones to wear and enjoy instead of Bel Ami 🙏
@tinkeviitanen yes, actually Hermes is my favorite fragrance house and their Jardin series really blooming in this hot and humid weather.
You’re extremely sexy!
Hey man! Are you single?🤣
Epic list! I'm a fan of unisex fragrances & I have most from your list in my personal collection. My family dislikes 1740 Marquis de Sade by Histoires de Parfums 😂 - I always get comments when I'm wearing it as my #sotd, but hey, it's not a people pleaser scent.. I'm adding Parfum d'Empire to my 'must_sample' list, haven't tried anything from this house yet 👍Thanks!
Thank you very much! And great to hear there were many of your liked ones in the list too. 1740 can totally be bit of an adventure for all the people around us but yes it definitely has some uniqueness to it. It took me a while to understand it but it has turned out to be so cool and amazing to wear :)
Great list! I have several of these on my must try list. Also, absolutely love 1740 and Fougere Bengale as well. It’s been really interesting getting to know them, as either my nose has developed to pick up different aspects of them, or the juice has matured in the bottle. 1740 I get more sweetness than I used to, and Fougere Bengale I finally pick up on the ‘Fougere’ quality. It has such a weird, yeasty, spiced bread accord. My latest pickup for Fall has been Tauer Sundowner. I was on the fence for awhile, as I thought it had too much cinnamon…but after revisiting it, the tobacco is coming through so beautifully. Highly recommended!
Thank you very much! That ”yeasty bread” reference is very interesting as I never thought about that before but I think you are already second person to say that and after hearing that, it totally made sense to me. Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll definitely keep my eye on that as I haven’t actually smelled that but few other Tauer’s though
After having a decant for about a year I decided to pick up a full bottle earlier today. I absolutely love this one.
@@aceofsouls7243 That’s a good choice! I love it as well

@@benjaminkorenarmwrestling9053 It’s still very nice! Enjoy!
I ordered samples of MDCI Chypre palatin and Invasion barbare. Both are interesting for someone who likes scents. But for me I tend to like "Invasion barbare" more and I think it is more wearable for f.e. daily use for office. It reminds me on Penhaligons "Sartorial" which I almost bought once, but than i picked another Penhaligons (Williams). My favorites perfumes for office are Gaymede (Marc Antoine Barrois) and DesirToxic (M.Micaleff). Both are very unique and brought me a lot of unsolicited compliments so far. I used to have Egoiste in my youth (~1990?), I have positive memories of it. I can remember I always associated it with winter/christmas. How many perfumes do you have in your collection ?
@@wolfwolf-sr6he I share the same experience that Invasion Barbare was and is much more to my taste. Chypre Palatin was interesting but I know for sure that I wouldn’t wear it so it haven’t made sense to me to own it. Ganymede is nice but DesirToxic I haven’t actually tried. I’ve ”collected” perfume for almost 20 years and in the last few years I’ve downsized a lot so now I have around 45 bottles. Has been great decision as I get to wear all my favorites much more :)
@@tinkeviitanen I would have to count my collection, but there are probably about 40-50 as well ( a few of them are bottlings). I can recommend DesirToxic, as well as the intense version. M.Micaleff has 4x2 ml discovery sets for ~20 Euro, which not every brand offers. Another House I would recommend is "Matiere premiere", They offer 6ml bottlings (~35Euro) for discovery. I have "Encens suave" and I do like "Crystal Saffron" and "Falcon Leather" as samples . I propably try out some others soon.
@@wolfwolf-sr6he thanks for the recommendations! I will definitely take a look on those discovery sets! I’ve only tried Encens Suave and Falcon Leather from Matiere Premiere and those were both very nice!

If u were my coworker you’d make me so nervous you’d probably think I don’t like you bc I’d avoid u just bc ur so damn fine. Annnnnd you smell good??? Just ridiculous
Kiitos, mies 🙂 Thanks for not just spitting out latest releases, it is obvious these are your personal interest. Yeah, when choosing to the office - it is better to be discovered than announced. Have you had the pleasure to experience the 'predecessor' to Egoiste, Bois noir? Maan, loved that one, like Egoiste but with a dash of lavender - too bad no longer available 😔. To add to your excellent choices - my favourite Chanels to work, are Platinum egoiste and Pour monsieur edp. My favorite to the office that has that heady kind of citrus, are Guerlain Habit rouge edt and Nicolai New york intense. And if want a splash of vetiver, Hermes Bel ami vetiver comes into rotation quite often. And if I fancy iris - Dior homme(original) and Givenchy Gentleman cologne. There are those days you want something tad unusual...and for me, those days Amouage Jubilation 25 or TF Oud wood shines - and a somewhat reacent discovery that have not seen many talk about and gotten in my frequent rotation is Hugo boss Elegant vetiver and Vigorous cologne...but understand if they dont sell all that well because are often dissapointing on a blotter and when sprayed on skin, takes often more than 30min to settle...resulting that most have already walked out of the store - think someone told that if a perfume changes alot in its drydown, it might have "more" naturals...and they change, I have Confident oud from that line and dont care if it is real oud or not, as in the drydown smells so damn pleasant on me - but on a blotter, would probably overlooked it. Even the Vigorous cologne has a artificial quality to it, but in quite addictive and best way possible. I did not think I find any Hugo boss after Number one in the older batches...the bootled and other lines, there is something in them that dont agree on my skin and also do not fall in my personal taste.
@@I-And-Eye thank you for the kind words! Yes personally for me perfume is very personal and I want my ”wardrobe” look like that and feel like ”me” so I consider it quite well curated to my personal preferences and it’s great to see there are people who appreciates that so thank you! 😊 I haven’t tried Bois Noir unfortunately but I own also a bottle of Egoiste Cologne Concentree from 1992 and that is brilliant too. Bit more leather, the sandalwood is rich and I even get bit animalic quality with that one. The fragrances you mentioned are all great and I actually also have pretty much all of them too so I guess we share a very similar taste. I’m curious to try those Boss releases if I come across to them somewhere
@@tinkeviitanen Aah, the Concentree, have vague memories of - was in my Fahrenheit/Le male/L'eau d'issey-period of life when I smelled it and only in passing. Tho remember I wore Kouros before that period(as a boy, before having my own money -you took what your dad had on the shelf 😋). Got curious to check out the Savoy steam, have Sartorial that has a bit of that "steam-ironed shirt"-smell with honey&wax-like sweetness as you know - worth having both, do you think? Have Endymion cologne to order, possibly this weekend. New york intense was a pleasant suprise how much I liked it, tho in in the same vein that other but done very well and bit more modern. The Boss-ones are in their "prive"-line and priced thereafter. I smelled most of them and all but the Confident oud, are a bit unusual and many are playful - not smelling as many others but very wearable. Too bad that only 2 shops have them here in Sweden, both located in Stockholm. And not alot of reviews either - found only one YT-video mentioning Confident oud in a list and quite obvious many of the written opinion-snippets on sites, has sprayed them on a blotter and discarded it...and understand them - and think why they are hard to sell if browsing a store and being around double the price of their other line. The saleswoman when bought one of them, told that her husband discarded like many, the Confident oud on the blotter but she knew better and sprayed their son with it...and when the husband identified who smelled so good at home, he changed his mind and if one of his favourites 😁
@@I-And-Eye Savoy Steam is quite different than Sartorial is so yes for me they are not redundant at all but that certain ”waxy” and steamy aspect makes me think of Sartorial just a little bit but only that part of it. Savoy Steam is also bit more ”unisex” and has a soft but fresh rose element to it as well. I absolutely love it. Thank you for all the information and greetings to Sweden!
@tinkeviitanen Savoy looked intresting note-wise and found it from a store I trust, maybe put an order and just maybe/possibly, get a black friday-discount. That goes before the order I just made for their Endymion concentree, that appeared lowered today with about 40€ I have been hoping to be lowered and been eying for a few weeks now to go down a bit 🤠 Hope you are able to find and sniff some of the Hugo bosses, Confident oud seems to appear on grey markets more often than others and thus around 40% of the sticker-price and that one was a "gateway-bottle" for me to their prive-line as took a shot and sometimes...but only sometime, it paid off...I am not a oud-fanatic or counesour, but appreciate a good smelling perfume and as sa8d, dont care if it contains real oud or not - like it either way, it is that good. Kiitos and happy future sniffing to you, my neighbour 🙂

Nice video, awesome picks. Kouros, 1740 & Patchouli absolu are longtime autumnal favorites of mine as well (ok I wear Kouros all year round) and I just picked up a full fat 200ml flask of Coromandel EdT; not a big fan of very ”polished” scents in general but together with silver stem Dior Homme & silver collar Dior Homme Intense, Coromandel rounds up my 1st choice offensive line-up for occasions that call for dandying it up a little bit. I totally agree with you regarding the EdT vs. EdP, I feel the EdT actually toes that ”almost too pretty” line perfectly, by throwing in something a bit more primal, something that’s not exactly dirty but a nuance that makes it more interesting and lifts it above the EdP (which in my opinion is also sweeter, although I have heard people claim exactly the opposite). Coromandel is also one of those scents that shapeshift in peculiar ways: sometimes it’s more citrusy, sometimes I could swear I get a lot more of the patchouli, sometimes warm and cozy, other times energizing… But as you also note, it never fails to make me feel good when wearing it. Nawab of Oudh Intensivo sounds intriguing.
@@drewanstore5550 Thank you! I totally feel the same way about Coromandel that has many different facets about it depending the day, weather, climate or you name it.
