in this batch there are five variants with only one being limited edition. gmwb5000d1 (steel with positive display), gmwb50001 (steel with negative display AND resin band), gmwb5000gd1 (black steel with negative display), gmwb5000gd9 (gold with negative display). all four of these say shock resistant on the caseback and denote they are REGULAR PRODUCTION models, not to mention the packaging is just your basic gshock box and tin. the limited edition model is gmwb5000tfg9 (gold with positive display) and carries the 35th anniversary insignia on its caseback. this comes packaged with a very prestigious box and case. there are actually another two limited edition runs from the steel square line but the numbers were so limited that you had a better chance rolling double zero on the roulette wheel than trying to secure one of these on release day. gmwb5000kl9 ( gold with negative display and resin band with kolor branding in various places on the watch.) this iteration was a collaboration with japanese fashion line kolor. the caseback DOES NOT have the 35th anniversary insignia but is designed with kolors signature font and engraving. the packaging and storage box is kolors own. the last variant from this line is the gmwb5000tfc1 (black steel with dlc coating and positive display.) this colorway harkens back to the original square with black colors and a solitary red line running along the watches face. this collaboration was made in conjunction with japanese luggage maker yosihida and co. the caseback carries the 35th anniversary insignia, HOWEVER this watch comes equipped with a porter luggage storage case which is super sick. supposedly there is one more run coming out sometime in 2019 to bring an end to the 35th anniversary line, but be expected to pay out the wazoo because this iteration is gonna be made from 18k yellow gold and cost a staggering 69.5k. if you are interested in this puppy, then make haste cause only 35 are being made. model number for this badboy is gd50009jr (gold with negative display.)
