Most Airliners have started to realise that its mainly wealthy rich people who have been able to become pilots so theyre all starting to do Cadet Programs where they pay for your training and then it comes out of your salary when you pass training

Hey there! Good video, It's nice to see someone working hard and earning their keep. For context I'm a VATSIM S2 controller in the Chicago ARTCC, as well as a member of our in house training team, so I've done a lot of work with S1 students as well as some S2 students. Just a few suggestions and notes! Feel free to take everything I say with a grain of salt, as I'm not familiar with ZME's policies or SOP/LOA's. Best practices that I'd suggest is: Writing down callsigns of those who call. In ZAU, we try not to make VFR's wait in cue, just because their clearances are so easy "Maintain VFR at or below 2000 while inside the Chicago Class Charlie, departure 119.000, squawk 1234." The ummmm's and uhhhh's have got to go, and I know you know this. Take a few moments before you key up, think about what you're going to say before you say it. Sorta along those lines, while in the sweatbox, we try to encourage our students to drop the pleasantries like good morning, good afternoon, whatever, our training team is pretty busy so we do try to take advantage of time as much as possible. It's good to joke around, but also, keep your head in it, because you'll learn better that way. Once you're on the network, you're able to do whatever pleasantries within reason. A/C leaving the runway ALWAYS have priority Scan scan scan scan scan scan scan "And then you're going to take" Yeah.... Just stick to the 7110.65, especially with those instructions I'd suggest reviewing your follow phraseology "Traffic is a (heavy/super) Southwest B737 passing right to left on A, runway XX, follow the traffic (additional information + and hold short instructions)" Just a few thoughts, overall it seemed like a good session with a lot of good learning points

Great video! Just a few tips from a fellow irl airline pilot and Vatsim S2. Take a look at ICAO 4444. I know the US are super laid back when it comes to it but in Europe it’s a really big deal to stick to the standard phraseology. Try to avoid all the “AAAND” before you start speaking and phrases such as “I’m gonna have you take a left turn on M and then L”. Instead you could just say “taxi via M and L”. Keep up the great work!

Hi CTrent03, this video was wonderful to watch. As an S2 with an APP solo cert at ZME I can say we have all been there. But to be honest your rocking it better than most and for sure keeping your head higher than I did when I hit my mistakes down the road. Awesome channel you have hear, and keep up the good work. Studying to be a controller at ZAU ARTCC (Chicago) and the ORD8 and MDW7 is very interesting but it’s easy for clearances cuz you only have to give one departure for every IFR aircraft 😂
